That's been advertised on/off since earlier in the summer. Not really a bangernomics as there's no NCT? Which'll be hurting the resale. Been out over 18 months. No buyer is going to NCT it for less than 6 months, to NCT it again.

You'd have to assume if the dealer won't NCT it, there is something preventing it from being NCT'd, or at the very least, making it very expensive to get through. If they've had it that long and still won't NCT it, you can be pretty sure it is fit only for the scrap yard.

I would not buy it. i do not like automatics. No mention of air conditioning. or other details.
KM and miles speedometer makes it look like an UK import.
Sold as is . This sounds like no service done.
Looks like the car has been off the road for more than 12 months. NCT out April of 2017

Even if that lasted 2 months, the value is unreal there.I've spent that in tesco this month.

I've a mate with an 05 Avensis, daysul, NCT til Feb and two months tax.
Galactic miles though, but well maintained.
I told him to stick it on Done Deal/Adverts and see what happens.
Any advice for him, in terms of pricing?
Is 1k waaaay too much to ask?

Millage seems seems very low for a car that age.

He'd be lucky to get that I'd imagine.

Here's an ex-taxi Avensis diesel of the same year with 205k miles for €780, and here's a private sale one for €800 (albeit without NCT).

If he's in no hurry, stick it up for €900 and see if he meets a sucker, but I'd value it at around the €5-600 mark.

    Ask €999, and accept 750.
    Any test or tax?

Says in his post NCT till feb and two months tax.

I'd be surprised if he could get €750 for it.

    Smallish petrol engine
Average of 6,500 miles per annum. It might be on the low side, but certainly not unusual.

    Looking for recommendations.

Currently doing 47000km pa in an 07 vag diesel, it's gonna die soon. I've been living in various diesel bangers the past decade as I couldn't justify putting such mileage on a good car. Maintenance costs on the diesel can be eye watering at times though.

Can anyone suggest a viable petrol alternative, bangers budget or thereabouts, bit of comfort. Cheers.
