Is it worth it? 150k miles seems like a fair bit, Id be tempted but Id have no where to put the dog except up front.
Doesnt look like an import plate!?, ad says just drove back from London?

Don't think he meant that he imported it from London, but rather drove over on the ferry for a trip and it didn't give him any issues.

The wheels alone would fetch around 400-500 depending on the condition and offset.

Tax till May, test till Jan 2020, red leather, €1750

I'd sell the wheels for €€€ and put on something more sensible though

I like the red interior, but note that is lower spec with halogen lamps and probably half DIS (no trip or MPG stuff).

I still have one eye out for another one, must be a 225. :)

Heavy enough (Late 20s for non quattro). But a really great engine all the same.

Lovely smooth engine. Heavy on fuel though.

Not sure on chain/belt , know someone with a 07 , extremely reliable, economical, comfortable

As far as I know, the 1.3 doesn't have a belt, but chain instead.

Do you mean service the hybrid system itself?

Not too bad, anything to watch for? you seem to get some very specific opinions regarding BMWs, some models Im not a fan of the look for the year but that one looks ok, but people out there seem to know the pros and cons of certain engines/gearboxes.
Petrol 2l?/6 speed manual good bad? the guy has another car for sale, maybe bit of a wheeler dealer, could just be cleaning stuff up and moving it on, might be ok or might not.

any opinions on which car reporting website gives the most free information and which does the best report for best price?

N46 isn't as troublesome as the N47, but the chains and tensioners can still go on them, so worth checking, I believe they're only rated for around 100,000km?

Years test, two days tax, 56k miles, 1 owner, quality tyres, E320 V6, €999

The want for this is ridiculously strong!

    3,300 miles per annum!!
In the infamous words of Kevin Keegan...'I would love it....'
    Super find.
Depresses me to think where it will end up though, after 17 years of charmed existence I suspect it could be in for a shock with its new owner/owners..:(:(

Thanks, I was nearly thinking of getting a carcheck report on that one, could only find N42 engine mentioned up to 2006, N46 seems to be a replacement of the N42 and a also lot about diesel N47s, the timing seems a weak point, discovering more so after reading up on it, thought looked nice, leather and cruise, bit wary now.

Not under new regs. it'd fall down on the size of the boot door. Can't remember the dimensions, but it's 100% too small. I checked it out on another similar car recently!

I have one myself, 320i saloon 2007. Haven't had any major issues over the past two years or so, only replacing the timing chain (was roughly €700 from an indy).

They're not as bad as the N47 in terms of the chain stretching etc and causing catastrophic failure etc.

Hi w123, would that just be to crew cab the estate or is it same if the intended use was for something like a 2 seater van? In other words, could it be commercial without the back seats and one big loading area?

    Not sure, but good question.
My enquiry was specifically related to crew cab, so perhaps it different rules if converting to 2 seater van?
