    It's a 9-5 Vector with NCT 11/18 and it's €595.

It's not 'spotless' as the seller claims, there's trim missing, dents and kerbed alloys.
Car is in exceptionally good condition
    Interior like new

I can't stand the sight of these, but I know there's a few fans on here.

Give the ad a bump, and tax a photo from the front.

Thats a grand car for the money

Hateful yoke, but a lot of test for the money.

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/opel-astra-1999-new-nct-low-tax/16972552

Admittedly, I wouldn't drive it myself so it doesn't qualify.

Gearbox was changed as original exploded.
Blow in exhaust needs doing but other then that driving good.
What yee reckon could get for it.
Its the 2nd last model before they finished.

It's only worth about €300-€500 even with a lot of test. Worthless without test.

    Was thinking same.

I don't mind as car stands me nothing.

Just had as a back up but now have 4 so no need.
Think may fix exhaust and run through test early and throw up.

Honestly should have done it last year.

I sold a 02 Primera at the start of this year. 92k miles, 6 months NCT, 1 months tax, just got a full service, new tyres, very clean car except of a dent in the back door. Advertised it at 1pm and it was gone to the first person who called about it at 8pm, but he said he only bought it as it was so close to where he was (literally 5 minutes away). Advertised it for €800 and I think I got €700 for it.

I'm not able to put a figure on your own but you can use that as a guideline anyways!

That would suit a little town called Gort ;)

P11 model yes? I got €80 for a 2002 one last year, and it was genuinely a nice one!

Yep, the love the auld Astra.

Filipinos love Opels too for whatever reason, sold a good few to lads in the meat factories. I guess if the equivalent car is popular where you grew up you'll want one more?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,812 ✭✭✭✭bear1

I wonder if it has something to do with the perception certain cars have in their own country?
For example, in Poland the Passat is regarded as a seriously fantastic car.. or anything German for that matter

  • Registered Users Posts: 73,456 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

    Oh definitely.

How did it go so cheap.

I understand the market gone to sheite but that I wouldn't bother taking as I'd rather rally the sheite out of it in fields on the farm.

Crap ad with bad photos all the same.

The ad says NCT Jan 16 so that'll put a lot of people off. Checked it and it's def 2020

The ad talks a lot of scutter and the bonnet is rotten but you won't get a car with a years test for less. If you could get a classic policy it'd be a very cheap years driving.

It's not a glamourous car but it does look honest. I'd drive it.

It's funny you of all people mention a classic policy today, I came on a 02 Celica for sale very nearby with tax and test for sick small money and I thought classic policy or at least park her up material. Probably not as easy do in reality as it was in my head at the time though :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,917 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

I don't get all caught up in the people "missing" cars they previously sold craic, it's usually a load if romantic nonsense but I do genuinely miss my 02 Celica.

I couldn't give it away and I often wonder why I did. I was heading off on holidays the end of the month and wanted the extra spending money, that and I had nowhere to keep it long term.

Really great car, I'd love to know where it is now. Carsireland says it's still taxed and tested which is actually a really good feeling.

Look, you've got me started now :pac:

I'm amazed. My 01 Avensis that I sold Truckermal is still NCTd. I'm pretty sure every single one of the cars I've owned isn't on the road any more.
