This is a headache, plan all along was Aguero to Ibra, now looking like Aguero to Benteke or Alonso to Sakho/Rojo

Just in case...Sakho is ineligible to play against Liverpool

Siggy is gone regardless. Got 2-3 weeks more than he should have.

    Have Zaha, Benteke and Valencia.

Debating whether to get any more DGW players. Foster to Valdes looks tempting. McAuley to Gibson as well.

Getting in Ibra means dropping Rom and taking hits. Not sure if he's worth that.

Also have wildcard, bb, tc and aoa burning a hole in my pocket and running out of weeks to use them.

Just bit the bullet and sold Lukaku for Ibra.

Madness, utter madness, Ibra has a game Thursday night

Before you can make an informed decision on that you need to wait and watch out for Liverpool-WBA score, Utd-Chelsea, Utd-Anderlecht, Jose's interviews and next 2 press conferences. If you think Zlatan starts both games you gotta get him I think.

Unless you are confident in another captain choice next week?

Just bit the bullet and sold Lukaku for Ibra.

100% I'm sucking up price drops /rises rather than risking it before united play

Likely I'll go Rashford & King route with Sane bench vs utd.

Disagree. Possibly rising tonight and need the money for future moves.

Have made early transfers to catch rises all season - have not got hit by one injury yet but even if I did it would just take one hit to correct it, which is small price to pay for TV you make by following this strategy.

It's gameweek 33, your TV should be well.set by now. Following this strategy at a key point in the season is asking for trouble with this particular transfer.

Had to weigh that with price rises.

I think chances are I'm gonna want him Friday and need budget for as many DGWers as possible for GW37 bench boost.

Need all the 0.1's I can get for city, Chelsea, soton and Arsenal players. When your looking at 15 players in GW37 it's all very tight.

A calculated risk in my opinion.

What's your TV ? If your strategy has paid dividends by now you should be fine for the few GWs that are left !
If lukaku was going down AND ibra rising I'd say it's a risk worth taking but as it stands neither will happen tonight
Hold off would be my advice

    Foster to Valdes, no brainer.

Siggy and Origi both need to go. Thinking Townsend and Rashford/Benteke

Who is your other keeper ?
Foster also has a dgw in 37 so given that you want to make 2 other transfers it's may not be a no brainer

I would sell origi first for benteke if funds allow
I'd keep siggy and then get rid on WC
I'd only switch the keepers for free not for a hit
Pickford could easily get a good score against boro

Been away a few days. Looks like Siggy has to go this week - Swansea have given up. King incoming. Sold him a few weeks ago for Firmino but need him back for the nice run in. Sane was the only other lad I considered. May fit him in in a few weeks.

At the back. I've the cash to get another United (to double up with Valencia). Or is it a waste of -4? Would likely ditch Valencia the following week then.

It might be time to sell Heaton?

I know it's never time to sell Heaton but De Gea might be a shrewd move in? Have Pickford too. Or is it just a waste of -4 when I'll be using the WC by GW36?

Maybe it's not time to sell Heaton :pac:

Didn't know PVA had dropped to 4.9
It would be rude not to sell brunt for him now :)

    You really shouldn't

But you will still sign him

If everyone could not sign PVA that'd be great?

    We know how this goes:

Bandwagon forms. He fails. I get the blame.

Nobody but me and a few select others show faith. The masses ridicule. PVA sticks it to them with lovely points and I bask in his reflective glory.

Please be cool and don't buy him. He's not just for DGWs you know!

1 week punt Ibra but think Kane will outscore him between now and season end.

Gonna move Alonso, that's 10 games in a row Chelsea haven't kept a CS.

Will go for either Bailly or Ward.

I'm gonna bring in DDG and I'm not sure whether to bring in a Boro defender, Negredo or Rashford.

    Jakupovic/Pickford
    Chambers?, Gibson, Davies, Alonso, Mawson
Sanchez, Lanzini , Zaha, Alli, T Carroll
    Aguero, Benteke, Lukaku

    Loadsa money.

The three players in italics are on the block.

Possibilities.....Aguero to either Ibra or Rashford or possibly Negredo? Can afford any of these and still plenty for the other moves.
    Mawson to Bailly pretty certain.
Lanzini to anyone in the game. DGW mids are uninspiring.

    Option 1
Aguero to Ibra/Rashford, Mawson to Bailly. -4. Play 443 with 2xBoro, Davies & Alonso.

    Option 2
As above but go to -8 for a 2 week punt mid.

Regarding the mid spot I don't think a Palace treble with Spacecraft justified. DGW options= wild punt on a United mid Mhkitaryan/Lingaard/Martial OR... Downing. Both seem mad.

SGW players - KdB, Firmino, King?

    So...Opt1 or Opt2.

And if you could have ANY mid for the next 2 weeks who would it be???

There really are none that appeal very much actually.

Arnautovic is a name I'll throw out there, but I'm probably biased with that one.

If your going the -8 route, I'd probably pick from Firmino or King. No guarantee with pep that Kdb starts the next 2 games. Already have King and most likely will keep till the end of the season. Considering getting in Firmino as well. I know both have sgw' till end of the season but both in good form and both have decent fixtures.

@FHFC, if you are getting rid of Aguero for Ibra (I'm not sure that's a good move..but I'm not sure it's a bad one either!!) I'd look at Sane as your midfielder. DGW coming up, nice fixtures, something to play for and has a goal in him.

    @FHFC
If your bringing in Bailly who is benched?
    Alonso Lanzini and Carroll?
So if you do option 1 the hit for a mid is a no.

Selling Lukaku instead of Kun gets you a good defense/team for Gw35 where the FT could be used for a mid.

    Current Team:
    Valdes (Forster)
    Alonso Valencia Janmaat (Davies, Holgate)
    Alli Son Sanchez Zaha Redmond
    Ibra Aguero (Anichebe)
Was contemplating getting rid of Alonso for a mid range defender for this week either Bailly or Ward. But on closer inspection I can do for a hit,
Anichebe to Benteke (and bench Redmond)
Alonso to a 4.6m defender - Friend or Barragan or Chambers.
Think Benteke will outscore Redmond over the GW so looks like a decent risk. If I was to go this route though, which Boro defender would be worth getting and would that outweigh the more straightforward Alonso to Bailly?

Backing away from rashford think I'll just do origi to negredo and then negredo to gabbadini the following week.

I'd look at a Palace defender quicker than a Boro defender (less favourable fixtures I know). Boro were decent defensively on the basis they didn't commit much going forward. Given their league position they need to go all for wins from here on in so can see them conceding more now. Palace on the other hand know they are facing superior opposition and are close to securing safety so Big Sam will have them set up to not concede and his track record in such games is impressive. You also have Valdes so double Boro defence would be too much imo. Anichebe to Benteke is definitely worth the hit given he's almost guaranteed to get 180 mins barring injury.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,603 ✭✭✭lassykk

I wonder will Valdes make a recovery in time. I'm seriously tempted by Gibson as captain this weekend.

I really don't think Ibra is going to explode (not that I have him yet) and I'm not sure who else would be worth captaining from the DGW. Have Benteke and Zaha but they have difficult fixtures.

Theoretically Boro could keep two clean sheets albeit unlikely (and without Valdes not at all)

Do people think Zlatan is going to play both games?
Given the changes for Chelsea and their success, i can see Zlatan not starting against City and Mourinho using Rashford and Lingard up front again.

I think the odds are in favour of him starting both games, but perhaps not by enough to have any kind of comfort in such a decision.

I'm thinking Brunt to Rojo and Pedro to Zaha. Though I think there's an argument to be made that Pedro has a higher SGW points potential than Zaha's DGW.
