Well it's one plus the missing persons choir tonight.

Loved the missing people's choir, definitely going to vote tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 256 ✭✭wintear

The comedian reminded of a cross between Michael McIntyre and Stephen k Amos.
Seems to have ripped off their acts as well.

His first question was better in my opinion had me in stitches.

I genuinely think the kids choir was better than the missing people's one. They were so much fun, just made me feel happy and positive. The missing people's one had the opposite effect.

This is a far superior semi final than yesterday. Wish they did a better job of balancing good acts with crap across the different nights.

Only just caught that chap singing there now , lovely voice and a great song , first time I've ever heard it .

I didn't get this in the audition, and I still don't get it. It's too surreal for me

Edit: his line about finishing off a semi almost caused one of the ant & decs to choke live on air, that was funny

Lords of Strut "I love finishing off a semi" lol

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,756 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

    I love Lords of Strut.

  • Registered Users Posts: 840 ✭✭✭laylag

    Loved the two lads...very funny!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 256 ✭✭wintear

The lord's of strut is like a dance clown act, both the guys are circus trained. Should get them a good run at the Edinburgh fringe.
Thought it was good but it won't get through.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,689 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

I'd like the kid's choir & comedian to go through.

I think the missing people's choir will go through plus a.n.other. very strong semi final

It is between the comedian from Malawi, the missing people choir and Lords of Strut, maybe the male singer.

My choice for the final, the comedian and the Cork guys.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 1,695 ✭✭✭gizmo81

The Missing People's Choir but with the original song for the final.
    The Lords of Strut
    The Comedian
    The impressionist

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

Comedian and Lords of Strut for me.

But I can see the Missing people choir making it tbf

I would be surprised if it's not Daliso and the Missing People's Choir going through. Much stronger semi tonight. It's a shame BGT ordered the acts the way they did, imo there were four or five acts I'd rather see in the final than the MerseyGirls who went through last night.

    It's 5 after Midnight

See you tomorrow, I need to be up early.

Had to structure it like that to try and get all the buzzer acts through IMO. They were that shíte. They assumed the yelling Sarah (Simon's buzzer) would get through hers. She'll get the wildcard.

The public love a story and a singer. It wouldn't surprise me if the Missing People's Choir and the singer get through.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 717 ✭✭✭Phoenix Wright

That's a very good point. Sarah's exit was a shock for the producers and all involved, though I don't particularly like that style of music and I found her far less likable than other singers in the competition. She's almost certain to be the judges' wildcard as you say.

Simon looks like he hasn't had a clue what's going on all week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Jamie is better than Yelling Sarah, but Sarah will get the WC regardless.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,689 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

Glad the comedian got through. The choir I didn't think were all that good, just that they had a sad story and the GBP loves a sad story.

They said 6 million votes tonight, yesterday was 1.5 million iirc. That illustrates the gulf in quality between the semi final line up today v yesterday.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 717 ✭✭✭Phoenix Wright

Although I was a little surprised by it, I'm glad the Missing People Choir went through second and not first. The bookies have had them as favourites since week 1.

The final is really open and I would like to see either Tokio or Daliso win.

I think he said it was 1.6 million

Whoops, I was only out by a few million and a bit

Would like to see Lords of Strut or Jamie Lee get the wild card.

Amanda's dress tonight 100 times better than last night, even though it was equally low cut. Last night's was somewhere between a wardrobe malfunction and a Fashion Police disaster.

    Really enjoyed tonight's show.

I would prefer them in as wild card

    Terrible

C'mon Ned, giver your dad a mention. "My dad is a mate of Lee Mack and writes Not Going Out with him." :)

I like Ned but its obvious that some of his jokes are way above him.

At least ned's jokes are new and written for him and not ripped off from other comedians like Amanda's golden buzzer act.

Eeeek what happened there with DNA?

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,689 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

That lad can hold a note. He's so much better than Simon's golden buzzer act with her vocal gymnastic vomit inducing cack.

There goes DNA's outside chance :P

I just don't get the DNA act, there's no drama, there's no charisma. I just find it boring.

Funk, Simon just pulled a triple H and broke out the shovel there.

    He buried them!

I'm finding this whole show very awkward. All the acts aren't prepared, maybe the extra day practising would've made all the difference?

DNA proud purveyors of maths for the masses.

I fell asleep half way through, on the plus side I did get a B- in my maths test.
