Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

While I agree with you about the play acting, I couldn't give two shiny shytes what rugby fans think about soccer.

    60+% possession.

Also the fact you say that with Diego Costa on the other team is gas.

Sorry I'll turn off the TV, wouldn't want to watch a game that can have a huge influence on our season.

Kanté has fouled about 5 players.

Costa has done little but feign contact and injury.

Chelsea are the ones doing the kicking not Utd.
Utd are playing well ,aggressive but fair.

Chelsea are a very average side ,keep Hazard and Costa quiet and they are pretty toothless.

sure, they prefer being allowed to sneakily beat the daylights out of each other as part of the game.

If Chelsea are a very average side then what does that make United? 18 points behind them?

Thrilled with that first half. The absolute opposite of what I had been expecting. Hopefully we retain that intensity and concentration.

We've been second best by far, Costa needs to come off.

It's not saying a lot but Kante has been one of our better players.

I think Alonso is a huge loss for Chelsea, Azpuliqueta is a good player but they lose an extra attacking body without Alonso, he frees up so much space for their attack.

He has no help and thats whats killing ye.

Have ye anyone on the bench to replace Costa.

Hard to see him staying on if things stay the way they are for 15 - 20 mins.

Loving this game and loving how it's been refed. Both teams could have a heap of cards but he's letting the game go. It's like a throwback game from the 90s.

Very worried about the second half. No way Chelsea and especially Hazard will be that bad.

Brave selection from Jose paying off so far.

We've only Michy who Conte doesn't trust. Costa will stay on unfortunately, and will probably get sent off.

Here's the thing, people who like football, like myself, watch more than the team that they support.

People can comment if they want.

Ref has had a shocker (for both teams). Chelsea need to get in between Utds midfield and defence in order to create a chance or two. Loads of space in there.

    Willian/Fabregas on Matic/Pedro off.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Chelsea surely have to improve second half. Utd have been very good at stopping them play so far, but there has to be a change in tactics or shape surely.

Those types just look for any old reason to knock football. If diving went away, they'd find something else to dislike.

No point whatsoever worrying about what they think or pandering to their ideas about physicality in sports.

If Herrara gets booked early on it will free up Hazard who has been largely quiet.

We have played at a blistering pace all game and considering the amount of matches the team have under their belt already it will be difficult to maintain that level for another 45.

I suppose it's better than Neville comparng them to Yorke and Cole after playing up top together for 25 minutes :p

Or Tyler eulogising over Mourinho throwing on young players to have a go at Chelsea, thus showing that he's not as worried about trying youth as we all think.

Leaves the title race wide open.

Give me a ref that doesn't flash yellows every half foul any day.

perhaps, but none that stood out to me. Herrera's pass was brilliant, splitting open the defense. dont remember pogba making any similar type passes

He hasn't been sent off in England yet has he?

An early lead suits Mourinho perfectly so whether it's by design or not it's amazing to see United's underperforming strikers play well when playing to their strengths. Maybe it's something Mourinho should try more.
