    Hello
My friend has an account with you for which she filled out a direct debit authorisation on 5 January.
You have her surname spelled incorrectly on your records for her, so perhaps this is why it has not been taken.
To date, nothing has been taken, she has not received a bill and must be in arrears at this stage.

Can we PM details and get it sorted?
English is not her first language so I will have to assist.

    Hi spurious,

We are sorry to read of this error.

We need to advise that your friend telephone Electric Ireland Customer Service on 1850 372 372 (alternatively 01 8529534) with you present if possible. The account has to be discussed with the account-holder directly (giving their permission for another person to speak on their behalf). This is a requirement for Data Protection compliance.

It would be sufficient also if your friend telephoned and added your name to her account as an authorised contact. Once this is completed, we can discuss the account with you by private message here on Boards.

    Best regards,
    Una
