Would this do to spray mortox 50 or dicophar on 1 acre site?

Sure would. 22 litres is fairly feckin heavy though 😂

I've sprayed an acre with a knapsack this size. When I was on a course for getting a pesticide licence they told us your supposed to hold the lance in one position and not save it back and forth. That covered an area about six inches wide so it would take an eternity the right way.

If you are waving the lance back and over in front of you find what width you cover and Mark out the area with some pegs so you get full coverage.

An alternative might be to get someone with a quad and sprayer. Cost me €50

I'd stick 10l at a time in it rather than filling it up. Those straps don't look too nice.

If you are concerned about your health and personal safety, stay clear of cheap alternatives, in my experience they are poorly constructed and flimsy at best. If you don't want to invest in a proper sprayer like a Cooper Pegler or Solo, they I'd recommend you pay someone else to do the job, and there are two clear benefits, firstly they should know what they are doing and will get good results with a complete coverage of the area to be sprayed and secondly and more important imo is that they also assume the risk.

Wouldnt touch that thing....piece of cr*p and you will end up with some of the liquid on your back.

A friend got one and it was useless. Straps will kill you. Lid will leak....disaster

    I bought the following: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00XHRBQFQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It is perfect and great for spraying. Wasting your time with cheap versions

I have no problem carrying it. Could I spot spray with this?

If I was to spend the extra money I'd buy a spray attachment for my ride on but that's €375.

If all you want to do is spot spray, buy a handheld 5L or 7L sprayer, whatever you, do not buy a cheap knapsack sprayer, the parts are flimsy and will not work properly and it will leak.

You say 1 acre but then spot spray, maybe give us an idea of how much or what you need to spray?>

I have 1 acre as well. I had to spray the whole garden because I was reseeding plus I have a little river at side of house and want to keep it clear of grass etc otherwise it would be perfect for rats

The Solo is perfect for this, light and you get the job done quickly. Well work the extra cash

If you are just spot spraying a few weeks, spend a few quid and get a decent 5ltr one that you can carry around in your hand

The lawn is full of weeds. Just want to get rid of them by any means possible. Any alternatives- what would be best to spray for spot spraying

I rate Solo but someone else might prefer other brands....you pay a bit extra but as the saying goes you pay for what you get, two options below. I bought via Amazon but you can check around for other prices

Decided to go with this. Middle of the road. Hopefully I made the right choice:
