    Hi all,

I am travelling with family to New York this weekend and I am looking for any recommendations for a car service to take us from Newark airport to Manhattan.

The reason we want a car service is because we're travelling with my elderly parents.

We have gotten a few quotes from various car services but reviews on these are mixed. Also, none of them seem to be reliable with their final quotes saying that drivers can add extra charges depending on traffic, etc.

One of the companies asked us to fill out a form to take a credit card hold - scanning back in the card details and emailing it to them. That just screams unsafe to me!!

Anybody have a recommendation for a decent car service? :)

    Hi

We used Supershuttle from JFK to Manhattan, great service. We use it all the time in Paris too.

    https://www.supershuttle.com

    Hope that helps.

Uber all the way. It can get you to Jersey city for 15$, through the tunnel and depending on where you are staying it might end up 50$ but will be the cheapest direct route you can take. Only risk is if it's surge pricing though
