    All out for Lukaka IMO.

And what other team needs a 3 man midfield to accommodate a player and hasn't really used a number 10 for quite a while now?

If we did sign James I think it could be the end for martial too. He may not leave but won't have much game time I could see jose reverting to his more traditional Chelsea formation of 4231 with 3 interchanging number 10s...... just a thought I'm probably wrong ha.

With Madrid wanting to offload him he could be vaguely 'reasonably' priced, and also if the rumours are true it could be a deal that is done early which would be another advantage. Would also perhaps be an indicator that Rooney is definitely going!

I've long since said I believe Jose will sell him to fund moving for other players.

I like him but is he really a jose striker? Could you imagine him doing the dirty work of drogba and costa? He is definitely the right build and profile but mentally I Donno if he is a jose striker but if jose liked him I'd be delighted if we got him.

Wonder if any who play the Fantasy Premier League game took a gamble on adding him to their team.

Possibly but I'd hate to see him gone I really hope he has a good end to the season if he gets another couple chances in the middle .

On that, not going to disagree. But Jose might; he seems to have wanted the #10 especially against weaker teams to get as many players attacking as possible.

If Madrid are giving us anyone you have to imagine there getting De Gea one way or another.

I'm half wondering if the decision to play Romero in the final is partially because DDG is off and he wants to show confidence in our possible new number one...

I know right, i did a scorecast on PP for 1-0, he would of been down the list for me

Was thinking something along these lines early on when seen he was named for the final. This or Jose is rewarding Romero for being loyal to the club when he was called upon and never complaining about being a sub.

Why? He is a bench player and people are still willing to pay stupid money for him. There are better players like Isco and Asensio to fill the attacking midfield or slightly wide position

Id be fine with Pogba missing every game till the final so if he needs to go home this weekend then he should go. Sorry to hear of his dads death. He was 79. I believe he was sick for a while so probably not a shock for the family but surely a big loss.

Did anyone catch Henry's jive on sky sports with the "you only take pictures and selfies in the dressing room when you win" was it a dig at pogba after the addidas advert??

Could Lucas biglia not do the job, yeah he is a bit on the older side, but i'm sure relatively easy to get and wouldn't cost that much.

According to this we are signing renato sanches

    Would like strootman as well.

Hopefully Ander gets to leave. The rapbid urge to upgrade on him is certainly strange. Would hate him relegated to the bench. Anywho we must galactico apparently.

We have 4 central midfielders, Two are Pogba and Herrera, the third will be 36 next season and the fourth is a hothead liability. Definitely need another central mid.

The Arsenal players have been getting serious grief over doing it all season. More than likely them he's having a go at.

Hell no he is definitely the wrong age and personally I don't rate him anywhere near good enough.

Metro article wasn't taken as any truth, all anything is rumours at the minute.

Strootman would be ideal, James can't really be any kind of ideal signing other than to prove we are the big boys here and can throw money willy nilly.

The rumours are flying now. Looking forward to silly season this year but will be sick of it come end of June. Jose likes to do things early so that helps as this obsession with deadline day deals is really unhealthy.

I avoid Sky Sports News on Transfer Deadline Days. It's just over hyped.

    The morning papers:

José has made Lukaku his number one target.

City will go head to head with United for James.

City are also looking at former United keeper Valdes.

United and Arsenal are looking at Giminez from Atletico.

I honestly think the Griezmann rumour is the only one with any substance to it right now. Its almost an open secret at this stage.

But to be the honest the only one I would get really really giddy for is Gareth Bale. Id take him over any player in the world right now outside of Messi and Ronaldo. He is an absolute game changer. He could play up front or wide forward which suits Rashfords further developement perfectly. He knows the league and has proven he wins games. He would be our main man and I think that would entice him if he wanted to leave Real Madrid. Id give up on Griezmann for now if Bale was available. Unless of course United want both?!

Perez still seems to view Bale as his man, so unlikely to leave Real just yet I think.

The question marks over his fitness would be a major concern too.

Can't see him leaving Madrid unless they want shut of him anyway which is unlikely given Ronaldos advancing years.

But isn't that how we play? 3 in the middle 2 wide and 1 cf

I'll be disappointed with the season if we don't win the EL and therefore qualify for the CL next season. On the other hand if we finish with two trophies and CL qualification then the season will have exceeded my expectations.

It all comes down to one game.

There's certain people in here who I feel would find joy in us losing the final. It would validate a season worth of posts which do not support the manager. Doesn't mean they are not good supporters but they definitely would be in here on the final whistle telling us we should have listened.

Yeah I would be delighted and shocked if Bale left Real now considering they are in such good form and winning trophies each season. But when Spanish players in England get linked to Spanish clubs you tend to understand that they might want to move "home" so it could be the same for Bale you'd hope.

I can only speak for myself but I prefer people who say what they think whether it's a popular opinion or not.

The people who annoy me are the deliberate contrarians and absolutists. We all want the team to win.

The opposite would also happen. Anyone who finds joy in losing any game needs to look at themselves. There were a few people here hoping to lose the Cup final last year. I'd assume they would be big Jose supporters.

I think the fairest way to judge how good a team has been is through league performance. United have been poor this season.

We have somehow scraped into a European final. Our approach to almost every big game this season has been embarrassing. Just so so negative.

I would probably accept it in an era where there are two or three big teams but draws are really not good enough anymore.

Our team is being coached how best not to lose big games. We're so focused on being solid that when the opportunities present themselves we're not clinical enough at the other end.

But I would be hopeful that the groundwork has been done this year and that we'll see an improvement next season.

I find it hard to believe that. Anyone wanting us to lose a final isn't a fan imo.

The 17 wins from 35 or the 51 goals in 35 and 6th position validates criticism of the performances, we don't need to lose a cup final for that.

No one here is asking for him to be dropped as far as I can see and also no one is asking for a galactico to be signed either as far as I can see.

He isn't good enough to be our DM imo. That's why I want to see a player brought in to do the job. Jose always sets his teams up with a specialisation player in this position and we don't have that player at the club at the moment.

I'd still have Ander starting, just further forward.

Also, if anything, I think he is vastly over rated by many on here. He's a very good player, nothing more, nothing less, and I think would suit a three in midfield with a new DM and Pogba. I think the balance of the midfield would be so much better.

I could see us signing that defensive mid from Porto called Perreira.

Seems a Jose style player and has had a great season.

As far as im concerned Jose has to play Romero in the final. If we take it that DDG is going and then he plays DDG, we could end up losing Romero then aswell as he would be understandably pissed off.

Ah here now. Apart from Liverpool, City, and Arsenal away I wouldn't say we approached any other game in an embarrassing manor. I wouldn't even call the Liverpool away game embarrassing as Liverpool employed similar tactics against us in both games which resulted in awful games. We dominated Liverpool at home. We were a calamity against City at home and Chelsea away in the league.
