Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah might have Rooney sent for the deliberate handball when he was already booked

Should have Jones booked, sent off too for fouling dele alli in the box 96 min.

Kane would have buried the peno had the ref not decided to blow up for full time instead of the peno.

Also Rooney won't be getting any credit for that own goal his shot was going wide before Jan flicked it in.

Heard the chap on sky say that was Manu first away goal all season against a top 6 team! Typical jammy Manu that we had to score it for you lol

What a stupid thing to say.

"why are we being so negative?"

"Oh my god, he's bringing on attacking players, why is he being so reckless?"
    Nobody is saying that though.

Some are annoyed by the lack of attacking intent from the fielded team and others are annoyed with risking some key players in a nothing game.

Let them have their moment in the sun. They haven't actually won anything and their period of 'success' is not sustainable in my opinion.

Also Rooney got the first touch before Vertonghen, so it's Rooney's goal, in case anyone thinks Verthongen scored an own goal.

Carrick was a mike off the pace today. Could be forgiven in the first half with who he had alongside him but even when it was changed he was really poor.

I actually think my 95 yr old granny is quicker than him. Anyone can pick passes when there's no pressure from the lesser teams, Anytime he's up against a good side he's nowhere to be seen

I heard that alright, but it's the hyping up of them leaving the Lane, you'd swear no other team in football have ever left their stadiums before. Then again Sky Sports do love to hype stuff up.

Indeed they do. They are also showing the 'ceremony' marking Spurs moving as they did the cringefest that was West Ham leaving Upton Pk.

Who's stadium are we closing next season? We normally have a Chelsea game near the end of a season so bet you we are their last opponent too in the near future.

Thought white Hart lane had a bigger capacity than that. They are going from 36k to 61k. A big jump. Top five guaranteed now anyway. If we don't get fourth and have to grasp straws it will be finishing above united.

IIRC Crouch is the only player who scored for Spurs in CL knock outs. :D

The lads on Sunday supplement were on about this allegation this morning.

They made the point that Manchester wouldn't exactly be Vegas when it comes to high stakes gambling.

Given that and the source of the story, I'd take the whole thing with a large pinch of salt.

That doesn't bother me in the slightest. It's a sports news site informing people that pogba won't be available for a game and not an obituary.

Pogba travelled to France INSTEAD of playing a game of football at the lane... Don't think the point is the lack of an obituary.

I'm giving the writer the benefit of the doubt here, that what is written isn't actually what is meant

Fair enough with regards to the use of the word instead. But I agree that it was just bad choice of words.

Jones has stood head and shoulders above Smalling this season only for his injuries.

And I think he's had 19 + injuries since we signed him. I thought earlier this year he was finally going on a long overdue run, that could've proved his reliability to last the season. But then he got injured......again :(. The sight of Kane brushing him off in the first half and leaving him embarrassingly stumbling along the pitch serves just as a reminder that even if healthy, he's just not good enough. I've reached a point where I'll be glad to see the back of him and Smalling at this summer.

Reading Real fans on reddit, they all seem to love him, but just feel the system is forcing him out. They certainly aren't happy to see him moving.

Kyle Walker was on a PL team of the year, is he a Spurs legend?

I have no problem with Stephen Carr, I just thought it was a bit cringeworthy trotting out all these lads as legends, having so many players there with such tenuous reasons to be considered "legends" took away from the concept for me. They would have been far better served having less players presented and concentrating on the real legends they have.

I mean, Peter Crouch a Spurs legend? Really? I like Crouch but Spurs legend isn't the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about him.

He might be in few years. He may have win a trophy or 2. Carr was Spurs POTY twice also and came 2nd twice.

"Legend" maybe a lose term but if having Spurs best players down the years is what they have he deserves to be there.

And I'm saying that as a person who I was not fond of with his antics with Ireland, but I can't take away his performances with Spurs. He was close to signing for us if people remember.

We have those type players but Jose prefers to have them in our own box rather than he oppositions

Not True im not sayng jose is never defensive but our attacking players spart from ibra have under performed.

  • Final home game needs to be a win
We cannot go in to the final with a three game loosing streak
What kind of mental preparation is that for the most important game for the club in years IMO

We set up so negatively that it's very difficult for our attackers, we don't attack in numbers so they tend to get isolated quickly or like Lingard today end up playing right wing back.

Bit harsh there, Stephen Carr is one of the best right backs we've produced, also what you say could be labeled at any of the players back then, listen to kilbane on OTB.

Yep he has setup like that for probably the past 4 games but we weren't setup like that for the majority of them 12 or so draws we had where we dominated games and should of won easily.

As I said I'm not saying he dont setup defensive he does in certain games but majority of them it's been our forwards fault.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,953 ✭✭✭JamboMac

The reason why our attack is sh79 is the lack of balance, its like kids. everybody chases the ball and all of a sudden only one player is up front and has to hold it up till the rest arrive.

What is Pogba's actual position, i think he's a CM, but get the feeling he feel's he's more of an AM Zidane type.

I never said he wasn't, just I think he underachieved at Country, when his club form was very good. No problem with lads enjoying themselves, but not before a vital game, especially the ones that are branded about.

    Buts that's another discussion
