Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sorry to disappoint but an ACL is 12 months, if he played in the final he could do permanent damage that would not only end his career but could also impact the leg ever healing.

Speaking from a medical perspective, the good news for Zlatan is with advances in surgery, an ACL injury averages out at around 9 months. The bad news for Zlatan is, most sportsmen & women tend to return to peak performance during the second season back post injury. But he is in exceptional condition for his age and his martial arts background is a massive plus in terms of the flexibility & range of movement he would have compared to the average player. That would imo, give him a good head start on his rehab program.

    The morning paper gossip.

    José wants £35 million Matic.

Both United and Liverpool have enquired about Bakayoko.

    United are interested in Dybala.

Blind wants to stay at United.

    Repeats of the Neymar stories.

Really looking forward to today's game!! Really hope 1 or 2 of the youngsters take their opportunity today as well as preseason and give Jose another option for next season. Especially excited for Mctominay and Angel Gomes.

Info Canal + saying we are in advance negotiations for Bernardo Silva.

Pretty sure it gets to the stage it might be cheaper to just buy Monacco.

This date last year we beat Palace in the Cup final.

Hibs and United winning domestic cups on same day.

    I tell ya some hangover:pac::pac:

This fixture last year was when the whole bomb scare incident happened at Old Trafford. Mad day that was. Seems like it was ages ago.

I still think it's phenomenal how they evacuated the stadium so calmly without endangering anyone.

I remember reading the headline and thinking Jesus even football games aren't safe from this but thankfully it turned out to be pretty innocent in the end.

Looks like Rooney won't be playing on Wednesday so

Also could be Smalling and Blind in the middle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,812 ✭✭✭thelad95

I really hope Rooney scores today but I've a feeling if we get a penalty he may let Harrop or Mctominay take it but apart from Carricks testimonial this is probably his last competitive OT game.

Was he ever going to be!! He will still be on the bench though. He was always going to play at some stage today.

Also, he will probably be taken off around the 60 minute mark for a send off standing ovation, it being his last game at Old Trafford.

Rooneys last home game will probably be Carricks testimonial.

*scene a when he extends his contract and gets a pay bump* :P

Why would you consider the testimonial be to Rooney's (potentially) final home game rather than today? Would that not be like saying the testimonial will also be Rio Ferdinards last home game?

Presumably he means his last game while under contract?

Testimonials wouldn't fall under any contractual ins and outs if you want to get pedantic!! :D

Today is Rooney's last official game at Old Trafford. Sure no doubt he will play a fair few testimonials there in the future!.

8 of our starting 11 played in the youth team setup and I'd say they 11 still cost.more then the palace team combined.

To be fair palace look less intrested in the game then even mourinho does.

Not watching the game but delighted it seems to be going well. Would love nothing more than Jose to see the advantage of playing "the kids" more often.

Was thinking same myself mensah has such a nice range of passing I really love to see him Getting games in his natural position at base of midfield.

Very happy with the first half hour young lads really doing a good job even if Palace aren't particularly interested.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,370 ✭✭✭✭Son Of A Vidic

I would love to see young Gomes getting a run out in the second half.
