Weird link in SRAM chain

    I can feel the chain hopping once per revolution (I think). I took a look at it and found this strange looking link. It's not the quick link.

    Anyone know if this is normal for a SRAM 11 speed chain? It's less than a week old.

    Never seen that on a chain before and cant see what purpose it would serve.
    Contact retailer/SRAM for warranty?

    Thanks, I'd kinda come to that conclusion and emailed the retailer just now.

    It looks like the roller is missing from that link. Never seen before either.

    chain is damaged, missing the outer roller it looks like, not surprised you can feel it one a revolution.

    new chain time, return to where you bought it if they will replace
