But in Ireland's media , the eu is depicted like the old catholic church/vatican used to be, a utopia where all wrongs can be righted, plenty of free money about, and when you fcuk up at home (a la Phil Hogan) you can get into a job in which you are grossly incompetent, and grossly over paid.

What happens if the eu collapses ? Where will Ireland be then ?

You should see some of them on Boards. The EU is god and can do no wrong and the Britts will be in hell.

Where will Ireland be then? Dunno but did people seem happier twenty years ago before first boom and all the Lefties went all pc?

Cant do nowt about it anyway so open another can before they ban it.

I know a lot of the rural td's sang the praises of the eu to their flock, the farmers, bigger market, subsidies etc. But now the Chinese and the Brazilians can sell Beef here under an eu agreement undercutting us. Makes a mockery of the whole green thing, as these countries clear forestry and rain forest to make grazing land.

I was happier 20 years ago, i could cope with my earnings, and didn't have to listen to all this "woke" horsefeathers, which appears to involve calling anyone with an opinion different to yours, a racist.

I read through the summary, cos i ain't reading 200 pages, and its very clear what rules are changed.

However i'd be more interested in things like export of other items. Scopes, red dot sights, barrels, slides, magazines, etc, etc. from sites like Brownells, Cabelas, etc. Can they now does this? IOW will it ease the international trading of gun accessories and parts.

The summary said it would because under the Commerce dept. the export is much simpler, but it doesn't address, or i didn't understand, if it will ease the restrictions on the export of certain goods?

For those of you following the proposed gun ban legislation in Richmond under the rule of a Democrat Despot by the name of Northam. There are now over 100 thousand pro gun and many of them armed pro gun supporters on the streets and behaving in an orderly and polite manner. One lad is even lugging a Barret 50 cal about the place! The Dems are soo scared of this annual demo on Martin Luther King day, that Gov "Blackface" Northam declared a state of emergency to keep the angry gun owners away from the Capital building.

Would that we could put 100k worth of ourselves on the streets of Dublin against any gun legislation in Ireland:rolleyes:

He is bringing in a swathe of new gun laws which basically strip people's second amendment rights. When people started a petition to have him recalled from office he changed the rules to increase the required signatories from 10% of the electorate to 25%.

Been following it for the last few weeks and its getting tense. Militias are springing up and while they're still a good bit from open conflict he is using abusing his office. Even his own county Sheriffs are opposing him by refusing to enforce the "unconstitutional" gun grab.

When you look back at his past and ask yourself what the hell is going on that he was the "best" they could vote into office. Arrested and jailed for underage sex with a minor (basically paedophilia), wearing blackface, accused of being a member of the KKK, etc. He still refused to step down from office.

They're not the only ones either. It's happening in, believe it or not, parts of Commi-fornia, Arizona, Texas, Florida, North Carolina, etc.

Its Mike Bloombergs millions behind all this, and i can see this situation in Virginia getting very hot very quickly, if anyone decides to get heavy handed.

Watching various gun based channels on youtube, it seems a lot of it is people getting tired of the crap in their home states, such as California, moving to states where things are free and easy on the gun ownership front. But then they revert to type, voting for the Democrats and opposing gun ownership.

Its baffling, but there you are. Gun control over there is demonstrably not working, Cities like Chicago are hell holes where murders are ten a penny, but gun control is very strict, eg. you cannot own a damn thing.

Called Californication of a state. After turning CA into one overpriced, overregulated literal ****hole, where if you arent making 180K net PA you are considerd on the breadline.Started moving out as it was too expensive and too regulated for them and bring their liberal ideas like a plauge virus to other states, like Nevada,Oregon, parts of Arziona,New Mexico,Nevada. The worst words you can hear these days in those states are "I just moved here from California!" As such it's a pity because it's Ca's costal cities that are utter cesspits and dumps.Go inland 20 or 30 miles and ike Virginia you have very decent conservative folks minding their own busisness, and resent the liberal attitude of the coastals being imposed on them.
As people are starting to realise, there is no point in moving and running from these dictatorship states, they will only follow you ,and you wil have to stand and say no further one day.Hence the tide is turning. As for Blomberg, trailing at 10% and had all of 50 people show up to hear him speaking in Texas.Despite pumping in millions in PR. maybe Americans will finally get fed up of NYC Democrat billionares running for president one day too?

Yeah, real gun problems in the US alright.Every one of those Right wing Trump supporting gun nuts and Rascists, went home today around 3pm ,and there was not.One.Single.Arrest. In a crowd estimated to be over 100k strong with appx est 33% of them armed.Even Soros's mercenaries ,ANTIFA decided to give this a miss too. So tell us again, about this right wing bunch of extremists, that was supposed to storm the Capitol as well?? Heck! You even had Virginia's own police and sheriff depts in the crowd supporting the 2A. Governor Blackface,KKK member and kiddy fiddler Northam can make as many laws as he likes.Enforcing them will be an entirely different matter, and his days are numberd too in Virginia...

It's still giving me a brain melt this as well. but to answer you question..I'd say a tentative Yes,whenever they get the procedures and protocols sorted out and if said companies want to do so.There will still no doubt paperwork aplenty, but will it be more streamlined and quicker is the big question for US retailers.Thats what was the most off putting thing to them with dealing with us in Europe. Value of return for input in paperwork.

The masks of these liberals slip off in the aftermath of a defeat. Hilary Clinton calling ordinary working people who did not vote for her the basket of deplorables, was one example. The looney left labour party in the UK in December immediately did the same when they got their arse handed to them, they were all racist gammons.

Antifa at that protest ? If it kicked off, a bunch of milksop soyboys getting the tar kicked out of them by former marines etc, i would have paid to see that :D.

You can almost head the disappointed groans of Rachel Maddows, Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, and the rest of the liberal left because it went off without a hitch.

This march shows not only the power of people, but that legally armed citizens are not the threat the media paints them as.

Use an ATV for shootin, hunting, getting the stag off the hill or looking after the shooting estate?? Well the Health& Saftey crowd want your money to teach you how to ride your ATV,because the kill less people every year than playing golf does in the entire British Isles, and mostly thru utter stupidity than anything else.

The media lost interest, FAST, in the shooting in Seattle when it came to light the two suspects were convicted felons with almost 80 previous arrests between them and ALREADY BANNED from owning a firearm.

Can i ask, what to some may be a stupid question, but if the Children's hospital is costing so much why not rip up the contract with the current builder, pay whatever fees/costs are involved in doing so, then pay another company to do it for the estimated €400,000,000 most say it should cost?

Arrogance on behalf of our politicians, they know they are wrong to keep proceeding, we know its lunacy but if they stopped now it would be like an admission of them being wrong. And as we all know that will never happen.
But sure its grand because they have learned lessons from this incident.

Simple answer ...POLITICS& Incompetence...For the time that original sum was quoted it was proably around the mid oughties. With all the bitching, moaning,NIMBYism and comittees and comittees of comittees and delays, adding in inflation the project has become grossly bloated to beyond its original figure. Not to mind being in a dreadful location, chosen more for politics than prcticality.

This is why I'd be terrified ,as should anyone sane of the Irish Govt ever thinking of getting a nuke reactor in Ireland.

French police tear-gassing, water cannoning and baton charging striking French firemen. They are looking for a rise in their danger money. Oddly no mention in either the Irish or Uk tv news media. Macron is France's version of Varadkar, completely arrogant and out of touch.

I did not realize how unpopular the eu is with the French public. If Le Pen gets elected, thats the end of the eu, as Matteo Salvini in Italy is the same, very euro-sceptic and just waiting to get into power.

It is sad yes. If you have ever watched a house or building burning knowning there might be people inside, its a chilling sight. To be one of the people who have to enter a building like that as it blazes around you is a very brave thing to do.
