Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As clear a penalty as you'll ever see and yet because Coutinho did'nt go down we got nothing.

I hate that so much, how can you expect players to stay on their feet when they don't get the penalty unless they go down?

Why should he have to go down though? A foul is a foul.

Handball and a reckless tackle from Schlupp in one.

I think it was more the fact that he regained composure and took a shot. A bad one though

feck sake Origi.... what do you need lad???

Ref needed to bring back play, they do it outside box when a player is fouled, they give player a chance to play on, but if it's to no advantage they'd bring it back. Coutinho needed to be rewarded for his choice to try to play on, not punished for it by not giving the penalty.

I wish "Operation Anfield Exercise" was Luis Suarez skydiving from above Anfield, parachuting onto the pitch and scoring a peach of a volley on the way down, before biting Sam Allardyce and taking off on a jet pack while the entire crowd wonders what the fcuk had just happened.

Instead we just get some crap little safety drill.

Firmino tried to trick keeper by not touching ball. He was getting there first,

I don't think Origi is a particularly clever player. His movement and contribution in our build up play is often lacking.

he should have went through the keeper and his pen...

we need some magic from someone... why doesnt Matip hold the ball up there??

Average PL striker who I doubt will improve for us.
Hope he scores in the next 30 mins though, he does score his fair share :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,508 ✭✭✭✭noodler

And this is why we should have been less naive at 1-0.

aye... he's just poor... i think we should upgrade in the summer ... tis like playing wth 10 men sometimes

Our passing in the final third is sh?te, players kicking it in behind without even looking for a teammate.

If they had jumped Coutinho would have rolled it beneath. He is that good!

Maybe, I was at Anfield to see Alan Thompson do exactly that in 2003 :)

Bloody hell lads, just because a defender beat him to a free kick.

Palace playing a back six and you expect him to score at every opportunity.

    nice chav hat there lol

    missing him bad though

Time for Origi to come off, beats one man and loses it again, he's been really poor today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

That's the best thing Origi has done all game, immediately followed by the worst.

    No, that isn't the reason.

Earlier in the game he beat his man and immediately went for a 30 yard strike too, needs to relax when he actually does well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Zaha loses the ball and just goes down there, soft.

Why is Carragher on about Klopp leaving the squad short when he has key players injured?
