It was a on today and well worth attending to get a few unusual plants (spent nearly €200:o)

I'd be hard pressed to say how many sellers were there but I would guess at least 30 (nurseries selling plants) and well attended. There were plenty of plants for sale but I noticed that after an hour or so (started at 10am) a lot of the nice rare stuff had gone so you'd want to be early to get what you want. A few of the smaller sellers nearly sold out.

So makes me wonder should we have a Plant Sales/Gardens open thread to let everyone know about future events? Here's a list from the IRISH SPECIALIST NURSERY ASSOCIATION's website.

Excellent thread. I'd be off to Waterford too but am away on holidays. Out of interest what plants did you purchase?

My wife picked up a load of salvias mostly ones she has had in the past but lost in the winter. Some others that spring to mind are a Veratrum nigrum a Podyphylum, another Rogersia pinata as ours has been swamped by a rampant fern, an Inula helenium hardly rare but not easy to get hold of, Tetropanex papyifera Rex, an unusual Red leaved elder berry I forget the full name of and a Geum I won't forget called "Wet Kiss". So bit of a mix really.
