Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Poor game with the usual ref mistakes which we're used to at this stage

BT seem stunned that officials can make errors. The City disallowed goal is understandable. BT banging on that the linesman has to be certain that the ball has gone out of play. Well he clearly is certain that the ball has gone out of play, that's why he's put his flag up. The replay shows he got it wrong but also why he thought it was out as only a small part of the ball is still in play. Without the benefit of replays and having to make the decision on the spot, i can see why he came to the conclusion he did.

The trip by Oxlade-Chamberlain on Aguero is definitely a penalty, i don't know what Howard Webb is seeing that makes him think it isn't.

The Sanchez one isn't a penalty imo. It's not a no contact sport and Sanchez has taken a dive because he knows he isn't getting anywhere near the ball.

That's simply brilliant from Aguero, what a finish.

Can't believe Cech is not rushing out to meet that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,111 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Cech terrible again. He's been very poor this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,849 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

Way way too tentative by Cech there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,690 ✭✭✭✭Skylinehead

Cech should have got that, but Ramsey there...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,592 ✭✭✭✭Trigger

Cech has become a really poor keeper of late

Cech was slower than a snail there coming off his line.

Stunning! Aguero tears away from Monreal, off a Yaya Toure tackle, he lifts it over a diving Cech. 1-0. Great counter attack, Arsenal's shape in possession contributes heavily to their own downfall.

    Long ball team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,259 ✭✭✭HalloweenJack

Cech took way too long to get out there, especially after that first touch by Aguero. Lovely through ball, though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Cech is definitely poor for the goal, Aguero took a far heavier touch than he meant to which Cech should have gotten to. Still a quality finish though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Aguero overhit his touch but Cech didn't pounce on it, should've closed him down.

    ROFL.

Cech bottled that big time. Heavy touch from Aguero and Cech was favourite but for some inexplicable reason decided to not commit.

    Brilliant finish from Aguero though.

FA Cup finalists and Champions League regular team.

When Arsenal done that for many many years people were looking for Wenger out. Does this mean #Guardiolaout

With that much space in behind you'd be fu*king stupid not to put it in behind

FA Cup finalists and Champions League regular team.

Playing Pulis tactics. Hoof balls are now stunning apparently.

And lol at champions league regulars as being some kind of an achievement. Go City, being crap in Europe for a few year is just wonderful.

So it was a goalkeeping error lol

Wait, are you being serious by calling them long ball merchants?

    That was an elbow stamp.

No more than we deserve. Been the better side for the majority of this game. We now need our formidable(!) defence and keeper to come to the party.

So it was a goalkeeping error lol

Was A bit of both in fairness, was unreal play by City but Cech should have committed earlier but didn't so That left a beautiful finish from Aguero

Did you read the posts? He was poor for the goal but a brilliant finish.

    Hardly controversial views.

This will make the better final if City win. Arsenal are chelsea's bitch

Not doing too badly in the league either, certainly better than some clubs and their building something that could be great.

By the way if you really can't tell the difference between that pass to Aguero and systematic long balls then that really would go a long way to explaining why our conversations are so unbalanced.

    Hahaha hon Arsenal.

    Stunning.

    Stamped it in.

    As I feared.

We've been the better team in the second half, how can you say "completely" anything? City haven't done that much more.

To take the piss out of the idiotic idea that that was some sort of stunning build up play.
