Sooo..I'm 2.5 months in, zero booze..I've lost a fair amount of weight, close to 5kg. Ok my diet has been pretty good, and I'm working out more. Anyone else experience weight loss due to abstaining from booze?

I've lost around three stone altogether, give or take! It fluctuates! That's over the course of maybe a year and a half or more, most of that time spent in rehabs, but with some relapses in the times in between. My diet hasn't been great, I wasn't doing much exercise over that time either.

Lately I'm consciously trying to eat better and exercise more to lose those last few extra pounds. I wouldn't mind losing maybe another half stone.

Apparently it's not just the calories in alcoholic drinks that make you fat. When you drink alcohol along with a meal your body puts all its energy intro expelling the poison from your body and turns the food straight into fat as the metabolism rate is effectively zero.
