HSE Carer assessment.

My district nurse applied to the HSE for a carer to visit me a couple of times a week. Today I got a phone call saying I will be assessed on Friday. Has anyone ever had an assessment and what does it consist of. Also what tasks can the carer do and what is not done. Any information would be great.
