Is there a domestic Uninterrupted Power Supply that will keep the telephone and broadband modem working during a power cut ensuring that the House alarm continues to be monitored.

If there was a power outage it'd be likely that the power would be out at the node as well. Assume you're talking UPC

You would be better off looking at a second separate comms path.
If you tell us more about the set up we could advise you better.

    Who's the broadband with ?
Virgin will fail if the power goes in the area.
    WiMAX
    Sky
    Eir
    Vodafone
will continue to work if the modem has a supply
