Your right, I have a fair idea what frame I'd go for- if it was in a shop here I'd have one bought, it's the associated heart ache I'd hope to pick someone's brain on.

    Cheers for your input

I suppose ultrasound is another option but I can't really speak to the efficacy of that technique.

I've been watching a bit of Raoul the carbon guy lately.

Get past the waving hands and it's pretty informative.

He does ultrasound at about 15 mins.

Interesting looking at the price of some of the frames - I'm planning on gradually building my mechanical skills, could be a not ridiculous project. I assume there's a custom sting this end on top?

A Chinese frame disintegrated in a crash in the Vets recently, was in at least 3 separate pieces, that would certainly put me off of them, too much risk versus the a relatively small financial reward....

Bikes break if they crash- I don't really want to discuss the merits of a China frame. Is the logistics I'd love to discusss!

The same happened to a specialised ridden by Contador....
Carbon is strong but only when the load goes on it as designed/ built for. Blunt force impacts will shred any carbon product - top end or budget.

Where is the bike based, I presume you don’t want the name of the shop mention

Sorry , I deleted the post ( I have fallen foul of over zealous (imo) modding recently.
