How to clear "Search for Apps" history

Hey

Using a Samsung Galaxy S7 and wondering if anyone knows how to clear the "search for apps" history? I can't find a setting for this anywhere! Not sure if it's Samsung specific function or Android.

Click the 3 dots in the top right corner. Is there a clear history option there?

There is "search options" but all it does is allow me to toggle "show suggested apps" on or off

I've tried google account settings.. I am not a noob with phones but for the life of me I can't find a way to clear that.

Is that relevant? I like to keep my business to myself that's all you need to know

some people are just fastidious and clean up after themselves and don't use auto complete etc.

I think that's a Samsung thing. Never seen it before.

When you see one of the previous entries - press and hold it and see if it gives the option to remove from history?

I've an S7. This is part of Touchwiz. Can't see where to clear that search without wiping all touchwiz data.

If you care that much about it I'd change your launcher app.
Something like Evie or Nova launcher...
