    Hi Richers!

Recently I've decided to expand on my Monitor Audio stereo and build toward a 5.1 setup, and, as you can expect, I'm looking for some advice.

I have a pair of Silver S6 floorstanders and a pair of Bronze bookshelfs (from unused bedroom stereo) that I'd consider using as rears.

So i'd be looking to get an a/v receiver and centre speaker, and in time adding a sub as well.

    Re my interests & inputs:
In my house there's plenty of gaming and film watching, usually Blu-Ray downloads and streaming shows/movies from Chromecast or Playstation 4.
We also listen to music streaming over chromecast (god i feel like a heathen, haven't played a CD in years) and also line output from a MacBook.

Our TV is a plasma Panasonic 47" from 2010, but we're upgrading soon to something like the LG OLED 65", 4K.

    Connected HDMI devices:
    • Chromecast
    • PlayStation 4 (upgrading to PS4 Pro in future)
    • Nintendo
    • PC Laptop (Linux) / Macbook

    Re Budget:
Is it awful if I mix n' match models??? I don't feel the need to get a matching Silver 6 centre, mostly because of the price, so what do you think, can I go for a lower model? Like a Bronze or similar?

I'll take any recommendation regarding receiver, keeping the above info in mind.

I'll end up needing about 32m of speaker cable.

    Delivery to Galway City.

Is there anything else in the setup that I'm forgetting???

So can ye sort me out for something with a budget of €550 all-in? If that's tragically low I might have to save up for a little longer :P

    Many many thanks!
    All the best,

    Matt
