How to get rid of this in my lawn please?

    Hi all,
    Any advice on how to get rid of this in my lawn please?

    I put some feed on weed on it but doesn't seem to have made a difference. I'm thinking of digging it up and putting down some new seed.

    Any ideas?

    that appears to be grass.

    If the lawn is cut more often the grass will not go to seed.
