Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Watford vs Liverpool

Another 'very Liverpool' performance possible here against a recently poor Watford team.

Lallana and Sturridge should be on the bench tonight, first XI probably unchanged from the Palace debacle. 3 points very important for Liverpool here, hopefully they can get a couple of goals ahead and then Watford decide they don't care too much. A defensive mess at some point from a set piece from Liverpool very likely though.

Since nobody wants to cement their place in the champs league I'm going for a draw.

Won their last 3 home games.

Bit worried about their form to be honest... they won all 3 of their home games in April, with clean sheets in each.

We have been given a present at the weekend with all our opponents dropping points. Tonight we really need to capitalise. A lot of the season boils down to this match. How much are they willing to give for this match? Do I "believe"? Not sure.

Liverpool have made a habit of disappointing in these situations for quite some time now. I'm not confident of that changing.

Finally, a few decent options on the bench. Lucas there as extra protection or to allow Can to get forward?

Was reading a speel earlier than claimed we dropped points each of the 4 times Lucas has played #6 since Henderson has been out.

So no changes from the team that sh?t the bed last weekend, lovely.

    You really dislike Lucas.

As a few folks have said you'd think there'd be merit in just having Clyne and Milner swap sides. Especially with Mane out.

    Well I didn't write the speel :)
It's not that I dislike him, I think he isn't good enough for us. He was good enough for about two seasons, a few seasons ago.
    I think he's quite likeable.

........... I was replying to Harry's comment too specifcally about his possible role tonight.

Only realised this after I posted and looked at results, but I was probably thinking of their games recently against the bigger boys when they've been well beaten. Hopefully more of the same tonight, but I'm not that confident.

    Watford +1AH bet for me

Hoping Liverpool do what they tend to do in these situations.

Altho a Firmino masterclass would suit my fantasyfootball

Alan Pardew in the studio, I bet Alan Smith is on commentary & will be extra tetchy after yesterday.

Don't have much hope tonight. We have a crap defence and no recognised strikers, plus loads of injuries.

    Other than everything is ok.

In fairness to them, they do tend to bounce back well from the bed sh1tting games, still worried though, 2-2.

This ref is determined to see one of our players murdered before he'll even give a free.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Can't see Coutinho running that off. Bloody annoying.

He's bound to come off now. Too early for Lallana to come on as well you'd think. Moreno or Grujic probably if there is a change now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

Damn it, he won't be able to last for long

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,105 ✭✭✭mada999

why are we getting bullied.... can someone not step up there and give em some back ???

Seems to be Lallana coming on. Certainly wasn't the plan, he might end up being subbed off again later.

First 10 minutes couldn't be any more typical Liverpool.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,403 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Come on Coutinho, bear down. You can grit through this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,403 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

We're doomed as a club. No complaints, good solid kick the first chance they got. As it should be.

    Poxed.

Thought that would be a dead leg at most for Coutinho. Not good that he has to go off.

Probably better to take him off, could only do more damage.

Doesn't fancy playing through the pain for the team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Surprised Lallana's coming on, if he's fit enough for 80 minutes you'd think he'd be fit to start. Figured Grujic on or Moreno and Milner to move up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Nice of all you physicians knowing just how much pain he's in.
