    Hello,

I have been living in Dublin city centre for two years now and we really like the area, however, the house is little small. So, my husband and I have decided to buy a bigger house and we kind of really liked an apartment in clonshaugh woods, Dublin 17 the apartment falls under our budget but I'm not really sure about the area as the building is little off the bus route. As of now, we have applied for the driving license and buying a car will take some time. So we definitely have to depend on the public transport for now. We don't mind little walking if the area is safe.

Please help us with your suggestions, we really need some insight about the area.

    Thanks in advance!

    Kim

It has it's okay areas and it's bloody horrible areas. You'd need to be a bit more specific and ideally give some idea where you are now, so people who your tolerances.

    Hi Samuel,

The buildings name is The Oak Clonshaugh woods near Belcamp Park.

    Thanks!

Sorry you did say actually. Not great on that area myself but hopefully so shameless bumping of the thread will yield a few locals. I reckon it would be reasonable enough around there.

It's in the backarse of nowhere and beside a halting site. My friend lived there for a while with his young family and lasted only a few months due to unruly neighbours, all kinds of carry on. I would be very weary of it if I were you.

It looks handier and nicer than it is in reality.
You'd be relying on one bus route (27B) if using public transport. There's very few decent amenities in walking distance (if any?) so you'd be relying on driving/taxis to get to a decent park/beach/pub/shops.

There's a new development coming on to the market soon enough on the Malahide Road near Belmayne. I'd look into those OP.

The place you're looking at a bit of an island in an unpleasant sea.
