Would a laptop like this be suitable for recording music?

Am toying with the idea of making my own music and just spotted this on Ibood today, IBOOD - Lenovo 15.6" Ideapad | 8 GB RAM | 128 GB SSD http://www.ibood.com/ie/en/product-specs/23567/60103/lenovo-156-ideapad-8-gb-ram.html Would that be functional enough to get up and running on?

From what I've read since the processor wouldn't be powerful enough (I thought because it had 8gb RAM that'd help, not too well up on my laptops obviously!)

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions for a decent entry level machine (I can't afford a Mac) fire away
