150mm insulation fitted: 100mm between the rafters and a 50 board onto ceiling. Downlights to be fitted. It strikes me that the electrical wiring supplying the downlights is going to sit in the hole bored up through the insulation to fit the spot. That is to say, the tails (which heat resistant cables) on the light fitting are only about 100mm long.

Doesn't sound right to me - although the bulbs are only 4w LED's if I recall correctly

Whats the correct way to go here? Or is 4W not an issue?

An enclosed spotlight. One with the wide clips that can handle 50mm board

    Ancel or Aurora make them
