Hi, can anyone please suggest a lawn treatment which will get rid of dandelions etc from my garden?

I've tried a "feed & weed" type product which I got in Homebase but it wasn't very effective.

It's not what most people want to hear but I cleared my lawn by going over it on my hands and knees with an old knife and dug each one out. It took time for a half acre of lawn but 3 years later and I only have to pull an occasional weed while mowing - dandelion, buttercup etc all gone.

Christ. I'd be a week on my hands and knees doing that on my lawn.

    Fair play!

Same here. Not to mention my back would be in ribbons!
