Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

DAB/FM radio 'blocks' reception of station on 98.3FM

The other day I had the opportunity to try out this DAB+/FM/Bluetooth radio:

    VQ Hepburn Mk II
    https://www.myvq.co.uk/shop/hepburn-mkii.html

and was disappointed to discover that in FM mode it suffers from self-generated 'blank carriers' on 98.3 and 104.4-104.5

Where I was in environs of Cork city it was blanking out reception of College station UCC98.3 which couldn't be received on it  (a station that broadcasts interesting documentaries it has to be said)

A pocket radio could receive 98.3 fine, until it was brought close to this DAB+/FM radio and then suffered from sizzling interference (which disappeared when the DAB radio was switched off)

104.4-104.5 also suffered from this self-generated interference, which as one example would degrade or obscure reception of FM104 if used in Dublin

The interference to 98.3 (and a lesser extent 98.2)  is not unique to this DAB radio, it also occurs with at least some PURE radios. The reason 98.3MHz is hit is because a harmonic of a clock frequency used in these DAB radios falls on 98.3 MHz approx.

However there are other DAB/FM radios that do not suffer from the above issue, and have good performance on FM - where it seems that FM performance is more than an afterthought than on these other DAB/FM radios.
