    JK Rowling

That's not inexplicable - she's a power-mad rabble-rouser, who fools the gullible into thinking she is some kind of working class hero, while using her money and influence to peddle her personal political dogma.

    Ms

Eh isn't Nick Clegg pro Europe?

No he is against Europe. Wants to go back to pretending when Britain was great. Such a pity we can,t send these idiots into the past and be done with them. They are stuck in the past and are afraid to be open-minded and move forward to a better world for all of us.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

He campaigned for Remain in the Brexit referendum?

I really think you're mistaken on this.

In fact, I recall him saying that the reason he lost his seat this year is that the voters disagreed with his anti-Brexit stance. But that he refused to compromise his principles and remains resolutely pro-EU.

So, y'know, the exact opposite of what you're saying

I suppose in keeping with the thread title, it is an inexplicable reason for hating Nick Clegg

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,455 ✭✭✭maudgonner

He even married a European, that's how pro-Europe he is :pac:

AMKC are you sure you're not thinking of Nick Griffin?

+1, also his brother dear dear Dickie,
    and all the Dimblebys

Selena Gomez-don't care about her personal life, who she's dating etc. Just can't stand her. No idea why.

Bressie-the guy claims to be fighting for a positive cause (mental health, and I feel that it is definitely important) but he just irritates the hell out of me. Like a pimple between the shoulderblades. Yeah, it's technically harmless, but it irritates the hell outta me.

Glen Hansard-explainable. He had a crush on that polish girl he used to date from the moment he met her. Oh, did I mention she was 12 at the time? He was in his 20s or 30s. Creep.

    George Lee-can't stand the guy.

Sinead Desmond-there's something so fake about her. Like, she has the same smug fakeness as Alan Hughes. I've watched the Ireland AM show a few times, and many of the crew do come across as genuine. (The chick from Donegal, who's name I don't know for one). As do many of the previous hosts.
    But her-fake.

    Also, Alan Hughes.

Richard Attenborough was awesome-he was Santa, and he cloned dinosaurs- and he started Jurassic Park. And directed Chaplin, and Gandhi.
    He was genuine class.

I know all that , it's still inexplicable.

    Colin Firth.
    Kate Winslet.
    JK Rowling.
    Dara O'Briain.
    Chris O'Dowd.
Increasingly Charlize Theron. I think I know more about her background than I do my own, it's forced down our throats so much.

All singing from the smoked salmon socialist hymn sheets, all seem to despise their audiences.

    Not inexplicably, but, Paul Murphy.

    Something very 'off' about him.

He somehow never got over the socialist phase that everyone goes through in college. I often wonder if he still gathers traffic cones on a night out, and has a Che poster on his wall still too. He must be utterly insufferable to listen to.

David Walliams . The man craves attention and looks for it in any way he can draw it in . Even if that involves being a right eejit

I never minded her tbh, especially given the rags to riches story.

But a few years ago, there was a documentary about her, and she was brought back to the run down flat where she was living when she started working on Harry Potter. She broke down in tears.

It was nicer than most of the boom time apartments I lived in around the city centre.

I wouldn't read too much into Clegg marrying a European, even Farage has a European wife.

Donal Skeehan - even if his food occasionally looks delicious.

Mary Berry, there's something a bit school teacher about her. You can imagine her hitting you with a wooden spoon if your baking isn't up to scratch.
