As I said on another forum, this time last year he was up to his knees in cows#%e reporting on the floods in Co. Roscommon.
He must have went “cap in hand” to D4orbs to get him the fluc out of there!

He's meant to be the science correspondent , he claimed today if we hadn't closed the school's We'd have 100 k cases a day, I know we haven't been testing and or daily figures are complete lies but we are still nowhere near that.

How was he allowed back in to RTE after his political fiasco.. Does anyone ever get removed from RTE or is up to the individual when they leave?

Unfortunately employees of semi states have the right to return to their previous place of employment in the event of losing a Dáil seat.

    Unfortunately.

George Lee. Definitely a whinger of the highest order. Who let him back on the telly. Should have stuck to what he was good at and then went off thinking he was like Enda Kenny. Haha.

    Brendan Gleason

Now I wouldn't say 'I can't stand him' but I would certainly say I don't care for him at all, and I don't understand why he seems to be quite so popular.

He's currently on the Late Late doing his Brenda Gleason thing, talking profoundly about something and then doing a bitta music, than back to talking profoundly again. Never stuck for something to say either.

    Didn't happen.

I am personally going to miss watching the women's doubles at Wimbledon this year, just saying. The US open doesn't count, I prefer them wearing white.

Agreed on poor Ryan, he suffers from Athlete's Charisma, (

I've liked him ever since he more than held his own in a contretemp with Germaine Greer on RTE a few years ago. Not that I dislike Ms Greer but I was impressed how he held his own against her.
I've no idea who Germaine Greer is and believe me I'd be far from a Daniel O'Donnell fan but likewise I do like the way he challenged Dermot Bannon on Room to Improve. He's only a one horse pony anyway with his square extensions with lots of glass and courtyard with grill out the back. Nor everyone wants that design and it was about time somebody put it up to him with him constantly blowing the budget royally.

I could never understand that either. He could hardly be very impartial after. Lee was originally a political commentator but is now RTE's chief Science commentator. I'd say he knows no more about Science than Mother Teresa.

If he’s the person I’m thinking of he’s one of the judges on home of the year.

His voice grates on me-I just find it so bloody irritating.

He's out of the closet now, but he still has that 'can't let anyone know I'm gay' demeanour.

He talks down to people too, and has zero TV personality.

RTE pushing him as their version of Kevin from Grand Designs,

Dermot Bannon says hello, equally annoying, however he gets a pass because I respect his enthusiasm, close call but he walks.

Oh that's easy. Her 'act' is so fake.

Whether she was doing awkward interviews with Johnathan Ross, or her newfound 'wokeness' speaking out against Trump, or R. Kelly.

She stayed quiet about Terry Richardson tho-creep that he is.

Whether she was doing awkward interviews with Johnathan Ross,

To be fair, Jonathan Ross is a prick of the highest order.
If you think it's funny to take cheap shots and insult your guests that's what can happen.

It was more 'trying' to pretend to be otherwordly- like carrying this special cup with her, but awkwardly. Then letting on that she only drinks from this 'teacup'.

Ross didn't really have anything to talk to her about.

I lost any respect i had for that guy over his involvement in the Andrew Sachs phone call. Wasn't surprised by the other knob but thought Ross would have known better.

I had pity for Sachs that time. For one, he was dragged into an ugly story he didn't want.
Then it emerged his grand-daughter was a porn star (bdsm and lesbian, apparently) which I'm sure he wasn't too fond of knowing that would be out in the open.

Brand could blame his addiction addled brain, damaged by substances. Ross was just a flipping tool.

I'm like that with Forest Whittaker. Whenever I see that big-crossed eyed bear, I turn off immediately.

There are just some actors I cannot watch: Ryan Reynolds springs to mind. Same shtick in every movie he has ever been in.

JEsus yeah-and it's sorta like 'small doses' with him. He's fine as private Pyle, because he's only in the movie for a short while.

Men in Black, you're meant to hate him as the alien-and he's not in it for too long.

He overdoes it as an actor-often distractingly so. And that is frustrating to me.
But he's also got Asperger's (high functioning autism) so 'being human' is difficult for him. (Apologies, I know that sounds insulting-but for autists, reading the cues of normal social interaction is quite difficult).

But I see him in a movie-my brain switches off. Even tho I know some folks who love him as an actor.

You beat me too it. I am saying Paul Rudd now as well, I got there first.

Although I like both, they are both funny and I like watching them.

It is a pity Chevy Chase never got the opportunity to play James Bond either.

If there's one good thing to be said about the legalization of cannabis in multiple states in the US, is that it killed off the stoner movie.

Which in turn killed off the likes of Rogen's career. Hopefully he disappears.

Chevy has a serious ego-it's why he left SNL. He thought he was too good for them. (He became such a douche, the normally laid back Bill Murray actually got into a fist fight with him.)

Years later, Dan Ackroyd and Chevy worked together on Nothing But Trouble... and things got so bad, the crew threatened to beat the snot out of him.

There's an interesting retrospective about the making of the movie, with lots of details about the behind the scenes. It's not a good film, but had tons of trouble behind the scenes.
