Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If your dog is shiitting in the house then you're doing something wrong.

If your house smells of dirty nappies you're doing something wrong. Nappy sacks have odour killing chemicals and you just put it straight out in your wheelie bin.

I live with inlaws. Every room except our bedroom is tidy. Our bedroom is an entirely different matter though.

It's possible to have a clean and tidy house and have kids or a pet you know!

Yes...but it's frowned upon to rear kids in pens in the back garden :(

(Though i had an odd childhood growing up in that we had to be extra tidy/hygienic and it stuck with us)

Not when both parents work full time, leave at 6am and get home at 7pm ;)

I keep my house fairly clean. The washing gets out of control sometimes though because I don't have a dryer. I'd like more storage space aswell.

When I was growing up, my best friends mam babysat me for a while at a time when both my parents were working and her house was immaculate. In the summer I'd be there all day and I'd have sleepovers in her house and stuff but I can't remember ever seeing her cleaning!

Kitchen, dining area and living room are spotless. I can't relax if there is any sort of mess there. Bathroom is okay, I deep clean it once a week. Our bedroom on the other hand has clothes everywhere, random empty mugs, assorted plates, and god knows what else. It annoys me but not enough to tidy it regularly :o

I like a clean and tidy house but I also value my time too highly to spend as much of it cleaning and tidying as would be required to have it the way I like it. So it ends up in a bit of a middle ground. The kitchen would be kept clean, for example, but things like hoovering the bedroom might end up on the long finger. I've often considered getting a cleaner in once a week to lift the burden but I've never committed.
