Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Creating access onto Luas tracks

Imagine someone owned a house where the Luas track runs adjacent to the garden. There's probably no footpath, just the railbed itself.

Would anyone know whether there's anything to stop the householder opening a gate in their wall to allow access onto the track, in order to get to a Luas station?

    Thanks in advance.

Well if there isn't any footpath and just the track itself then it most likely isn't integrated into the public road, as such accessing the track is trespassing which in such a case is a criminal offence under the Transport (Railway Infrastructure) Act 2001.

Certainly in Cabra, must such existing accesses have been closed.

Talk to www.luascrosscity.ie if you wan to make access. They are likely to be slow in granting it unless it can be done safely. It it would be beneficial to a large number of people, they might consider it positively.
