I have an 88vape pen, and was wondering if anyone else had one, and used it with liquids other than the VIP ones.

    Do they work?
    Will they damage the pen?

I'm new to this, and have been using the VIP British Gold 20mg/ml.
I find this too strong, and the local supermarket stocks some other brand. The nicotine content of the other brand is up to 16mg/ml.

For a device like that make sure the ejuice is high in PG. It will struggle with anything over 50% VG

For not a lot of money you'll get a far superior performance from one of the many other cheap starter kits. Plenty of threads on here....

If its a plastic tank and not glass, try not to flavours that are acidic as it may corrode it

Welcome,my recommendation is,get rid of that VIP crap & go for a far better set-up like the Zelos & Nautilus,it is a great mod & tank for giving you the perfect vape, you will also need eliquid at 18mg nicotine strength,I'll leave the links below of a reputable vendor that most of us use & 2 videos showing you the tank & the mod I have suggested...

    The Zelos Kit

Get yourself some spare 0.7ohm,1.6ohm or 1.8ohm coils or try all the coils in the list, each coil will give a different experience,we all have different preferences, they are in the drop down list, coils normally last 2 - 4 weeks depending what liquid you use...

Don't forget your eliquid at 18mg...

Thanks for all the replies, folks.
Here's the thing: I don't want to get into a pissing contest about which pen is the best, or which liquid tastes better.

I've been smoking cigarettes/tobacco for 30 years, and my lungs are f?cked.
I know that the 88vape is a cheap piece of crap.
All I really want to know is if the Hale (that's the name of the one I couldn't remember in my OP) will work with the 88vape.

I am not interested in smoking some f?cking strawberry flavoured sh?te. I just want something that will kill the nicotine craving. The 88Vape is partially doing that at the moment, and I've cut down from 50 to ~30 a day.

I'm not going to go into details, but I don't have instant access to the VIP liquid, and the Half stuff is available across the road.

Yeah Terry, you should be fine with it. But like Trond said, just check that the ratio of PG to VG (propolene glycol to vegetable glycerine) is more like 50:50 rather than 30pg:70vg. The VG is a thicker liquid and will not wick quickly enough in your coil which will result in horrible burnt hits and a coil fit only for the bin.

I think I overdosed on strawberry. I'm on oatmeal biscuits with a hint of rasberry right now. Don't knock it until you've tried it ;-). Seriously though, whatever works is good. Different strokes.... The important thing is it's helping you cut down radically on the smokes. We've all been there.

The other advice you were getting on getting a better rig was good though even if the timing was off for you and it wasn't directly related to what you asked. At some point you may want to consider it, and this forum is the right place to go for advice for any type vaper if or when you feel you need a bit more from your vape kit to help you get off the smokes completely.

Thank you. The one I'm using now is 30:70.
I'll check the ratio before buying.
    Much appreciated.
