Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    185 (-4) ... climbed 18k places to 14k.

At the end of GW35 I was 57 points behind the leader in my local league and have now managed to go 4 clear. I was of the firm belief my season was done a few weeks ago when I had slipped to 38k.

Unreal what a whopper of a double gameweek can do. I'm now hoping to break into the top 10k on the final day to emulate what I did last year.

156 points resulted in a GW drop of 13 places. Sitting at 2,537 now.
    Lost around 1,300 places tonight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 517 ✭✭✭Missing Links

177(0) on the week, 9.8K to 5.2K. Couple of hundred places to get inside 5K, would be nice.

I see Mervyn Glasgow is still adding himself to various leagues in Week 37. Farce.

I note that he's no longer in the Examiner league...more to follow hopefully (just when he thinks he has won them!).

168 with no hits or chips played, good man Harry Kane tonight.
Need to be clever come Sunday to wrap up my 2 main leagues.

Before my wildcard my OR was 50,526. Played WC in GW36 and moved OR to 30,102. Played BB in GW37 and moved OR to 10,562.

    Great success.

148 with no wildcard and no chips is far better than I expected. Especially when you consider Bertrand, Cahill and Eriksen got no minutes in the second round of games!

Yeah but you used 36 wildcards.

    I didn't have Harry. :(

194 (-4) moves me into a decent position in some leagues. Captain Harry to the rescue.

Not too bothered about the money but would be nice to place in one of these competitive leagues.

More importantly I might get out of the qualifying league at first time of trying.

Have concerns over at least 4 important players possibly not starting this weekend though.

How far off first are you out of interest? Is top 50 doable? Amazing stuff, well done

    Its pure luck!

100 off top but 26 off top in Ireland and only 7 off top 50.
Hoping Sturridge C can do it for me. Huge risk not captaining Kane

Guy I my ml who is in top 10k for the last 17 weeks, wildcarded and scored 63 this week.... No Sanchez, no Jesus, no Kane. He had Coutinho but nothing otherwise. 4 of his dgw players only played a single game.

167 (8) in the end brought me a green from 34k to 24k

Would be nice to finish on a high and make top 20k

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

148 no Kane ruined what was a decent week up till then .48k wasn't overly worried about Kane this week I got that one wrong.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,438 ✭✭✭Shedite27

No Kane, No Sanchez - down bout 15k.

The lack of Sanchez cost me a lot more places than Kane.

188 (-8) brings me to just outside the Top 20k. Only one red arrow since GW28, when I was outside the Top 100k, so I'm very happy. Ended up with 15 points from my BB, which I guess isn't bad but feels a little underwhelming, especially considering what the TC did for people this week.

1st place is gone in my main ML, but have a 21 point gap in second place with a consolation prize. I have, however, officially been relegated from FSA League 2 :( What a bastard of a league! Such a high standard in this forum.

I need Eriksen to outscore Kane, Alli and Davies!

    That went well

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,502 ✭✭✭spock.

    158 and up 1k to 7,021.
Should be safe for a top 10k finish unless I have a disaster on Sunday.
I was tempted to give up on this season when I didn't own Lukaku for Bournemouth at home, glad I didn't.

205(-4)...I should probably quit playing FPL right now because it probably won't get better than this :-)

Started this GW at 167K....will be up to ~47K after this according to FFIX.

Was barely inside 200K all season and came close to abandoning a few times...and now I might actually finish higher than my debut season last year (49K)...mental stuff altogether...I am now officially a fully fledged FPL addict :-)

So, just to follow up....ended up on a GW Rank of 437 and OR of 48,666 :D

Only for that fekken Robson Kanu goal it could have been a decent week ;):pac::pac::pac::pac:

Just to illustrate my absolutely turgid season, here are my OR rankings for the last 8 weeks:

Carnage last night thanks to Mr Kane. Have dropped from 49k to 66k despite a score of 140. Have also dropped to 3rd in my money leagues and lost all hope of finishing top. Each goal Kane scored was like a dagger through the heart, made even worse by Ali only getting one assist all evening.

Night was going well up till Sanchez scored. What a poor decision it was to capt Kane over him. Think I'll be on 123 (0) with perhaps 5 to play including capt. Very costly GW this.

Didn't work out sooooo bad now did it:)

169 with no hits or BB but TC on Sanchez. Brings me up to 17k overall.

Also, it brings me up to 3rd in the Malawi (where I was living until recently) league. Not sure if anyone else on here has been in the running to win a country league before? 40 points off top, so it will be a big ask to overhaul that!

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

171 points and up to 5687 from 9k.

Easily my best position going into GW38, but I'm perfectly aware that if things can go tits up then I'm the person who can achieve that :pac:

My BB got me 32 points. I put the players I'd actually bench if I only had 11 but if you wan't my lowest scoring outfield 3 and keeper then it was 15 points. I'm happy with how that played out.

Sure Kane got me 31 points, Sanchez got me 27 and Jesus (c) 38 but shout out to PVA who despite being limited to 1 game still delivered a goal in DGW37 :)

Overall analysis of season will wait til after GW38 but ye'll be aware I played it a little differently this year.

This was a GW of beauty. My friend was 70 points ahead coming into this gameweek (and was over 200 points ahead at the halfway point) in our private league and I've usurped him at the final hurdle.

My team looks stronger for this weekend too, so I'm quite hopeful that I'll hold onto the lead.

My worst FPL season ever, but possibly my sweetest if I hold on and get to take that smile off his face :)

155 points no hits and would consider the WC an underwhelming success... up from a season low of 400k to a distinctly average 165k the past two gameweeks

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,672 ✭✭✭ElTel

    144 (-8) and a 3.5k red arrow to just inside top 25k.

Kane (c) and Bavies giving me some respectability (and an endorphin boost) on the last night of a harrowing GW.

Some great scores as usual but a shout out to Cartman78, Dr. Kenneth Noisewater and anyone else who joined the 200 Club!

The real farce is that those leagues allow entrants join at that stage. As long as leagues do that, if its not him, someone else is just gonna do it anyway so he may aswell.

Oh no doubt I'd be joining open leagues today if it put me top and there was decent prizes. I don't blame him (notwithstanding my mental picture of him as a rangers thug with Big Merv tattooed on his forehead).
Fault is obviously with the league organisers and maybe even FPL themselves for having 'open for season' as the default - the default should be closing at GW8 or something like that.
I note that he's no longer in the Examiner league...more to follow hopefully (just when he thinks he has won them!).

Seemed to be a general clear-up of this league alright, kudos to the Examiner.

Up from just out side the top 1mil in GW20 to the top 75k at the end of this GW, Rises in all leagues, including two table toppers in family/friends leagues. Most annoyingly though, only up to 29th place in the qualifying league, probably the most competitive of the the lot.

Hopefully the remainder don't unravel in GW38.
