New Card arrived today?

    Hi

    just wondering .I received a bank card in the post today.

    Is this routine as i didn't order one?


    Do i discard the old card it doesn't say in the letter?

    Good Afternoon mikeybrennan,

    Thank you for getting in touch and welcome to Boards.ie.

    You'll generally receive a new card when your existing one is about to expire. If this is a Visa Debit card, you'll need to activate it at a Bank of Ireland ATM by making a cash withdrawal or balance enquiry. You can also activate it at another ATM by making a cash withdrawal. Once you've done this please destroy the old card.

    If your card is not due to expire and you've received this new card anyway, please contact our team via the Service Desk using the 'Ask a question' option on 365Online and a representative will be happy to look into this for you.
