There's one in West Cork called Stout by Stoutwest, always makes me giggle. But I don't like stout so I've never had it. But still. Heh.

Black Donkey brewery in county Roscommon have a lovely farmhouse ale called Sheep-Stealer. They were just talking about it on Newstalk before 4:00.

Star Chicken Shotgun beer in the mid-west USA
Yes, we did equate a beer with a dancing chicken in an Elvis costume

    One called Trouble Brewing.

There's a whiskey called Sheep Dip.

    One called Trouble Brewing.

Trouble Brewing is a brewery in Kildare, rather than just a beer.

Ones I've had that spring to mind:

March of the Penguins - a really nice stout from Scotland, no idea what the penguins have to do with it
By Udder Means - a milk stout
Backwoods Bastard - one of my favourite beers
Semi-Skimmed Occultist - another milk stout

    Carlsberg.

Think about it. Carl. Carls. Icebergs. Carls Icebergs. Carlsberg. It makes no sense. It's just crazy.

Some of those oh-so-hilarious names make me think the brewers are keen for us to see that brewing their beer is just gas craic altogether.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter what they call it if it tastes sh*te. I read an article recently about the names a lot of beers are being given these days. The explosion in craft brewing is the reason for it, there are so many new beers that brewers are actually struggling to come up with original names that nobody else has used previously.

They should just use one of the many craft beer name generators out there.

    Here's one: http://www.strangebrew.ca/beername.php?Mode=Generate

    Invisible Thursday Black Pilsner

    Amber Turgid Kung Fu Stout

    Buddha's Evil Gloworm Bock
