4G contract with 3G Router?

Hi there, I just signed up for the €19.99 per month 25GB plan on Mobile Broadband. On my contract it refers to 4G, but the modem I was provided is the E5330 which is only 3G! Why am I being provided with a 3G modem when my contract clearly states it's 4G?
