Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This planet can only support about 3.5 billion people. A few years where death's outnumber births would be a good thing.

Why do you have to say sex stick in every second post?

Those stats about young people "despising" sexual contact is odd

    Messes up the hair.

Maybe provide state-subsidized GHD stations outside night clubs.

It takes a lot of time to have your consent form filled out and processed by the legal team, whilst negotiating issues such as lights on/off, time, positions etc.

We are better off just going to Pornhub, 2minutes, bam.

    Source please.

It's already at 7.5 billion. A recent Harvard study suggested the maximum sustainable to be 9 to 10 billion.

    Source please.

Might be no harm if population decreases wiped out people who think they're smart looking for linked sources for every statement.

Right so, none of ye posted a source which supports the view that the planet can only support 3.5 billion people. Why did ye even quote me?

It's irrelevant (for me) what the argument is. It's this incessant trend in after hours of looking for a source for every single opinion, even if that opinion is glaringly, obviously correct (which this one isn't to be fair). It's a pathetic rebuke in place of debate.

You think an opinion is incorrect? Debate it, don't take the easy way out by demanding a 'source'. That's just lazy and leads to a dumbing down of your own intelligence.

Jeez, relax for goodness sake. I was giving you the correct figures, not 3.5 billion for a start, and told you it was a Harvard study. It's not rocket science to look it up if you have the wherewithal to use Boards. This posting of replies that simply ask for a link to a source is not a discussion.

I provided a source. My sources say that that source is 100% solid. I'll now get my cat to mash the keyboard to verify it.

This reminds me of a quote from REM's Michael Stipe: "The planet is going to be just fine. It's our own asses we're worried about."

If it's any consolation, I was openly rooting for ebola the last time around.

I'm not at all disputing your statement or source. I was just saying that it isn't glaringly obvious that it's correct. The cat can live another while!

you could be right but if someone comes out with a very specific number in this case then someone has put a list of very specific arguments together

A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer

    Nonsense.

We are on a planet where can crops are king. Crops that don't sustain life but instead used to 'enhance' life.

Tea, coffee and cacao. Do away with them.
Cut down meat to 10% of diet.

Eventually we will see salt water desalinated and used to turn dry arid lands into crop producing areas.

Planet is barely utilised. What ever is used, is used poorly
