My legs are getting tired just looking at this climb!

Giro ruined, by motorcycle idiocy, you'd think a slow down when something like that occurs would be the gentlemanly thing to do, instead of driving it at the front like Movistar. Not going to be much of a 100th Giro to remember.

just looking at the footage from the chopper and theres a serious amount of cars and bikes on the race, no wonder there mowing riders down

Pink jersey group slowly falling away. Over a minute now. Still Quintana/Nibali/Pinot cat and mousing up front.

If Quintana did a bit more of this earlier at last few tours they'd have been a bit more interesting. But yeah, another race poorly impacted by something unrelated and entirely out of the control of the riders.

Did the Moto just stop a moment ahead of the bikes? If so entirely it's fualt, but if it was parked for a bit then you'd have thought pros would be giving each other a shout well in advance

Easy to do when half your rivals get totalled by a police motorbike, Thomas has climbed Blockhaus faster than Quintana!

Race over and to a large degree ruined by that police motorcycle idiocy, it doesn't look good for cycling when every other GT seems to have motorcycles causing carnage and impacting the GC.

Where are you getting the comparitive timings of Quintana and Thomas. By my calculations, Thomas was off the bike for 2.30, but lost about 4.30 to Quintana by the line.

It's a long way to Milan but Quintana has certainly made his intentions clear. Obviously in great form. Game on.

The GPS on screen was wrong.

Is there any evidence the motorbike stopped suddenly just before the peleton? Otherwise it looks like they could have avoided the motorbike.

Yes! As Lemond said in 1989 when he lost the jersey to Fignon, "This race is not over"

it was a stupid place for a bike to stop but a lot of blame on the riders as well for not ''calling '' it and there was plenty of room to avoid it
