Went to Galwegians Corinthians. 7-7 draw. Interestingly both tries were penalty tries and were about a minute apart. Lots missed chances from both sides
Miserable night for rugby as evident by some of the very low scoring games.

    Don't know really

Conor O'Brien started for Clontarf in the centre. No Adrian D'arcy in the back row but other than that looked similar enough to recent selections

Annoying to lost tonight but all credit to garryowen, they made less mistakes in first half than we did and that probably justified their win, so congratulations to them. Fine crowd despite the horrific wet night like a scene from angelas ashes, they handled a bit better too. Could do with bit of covered terracing on nights like this

first two scrum we milled em – after that they had better scrum -mind you we had one very debatable penalty against us in second half when we deemed to drop scrum. Was 6 3 and half time we had one great break by james oconnor and calvin nash but a fantastic tackle on calvin foiled us. They got close to a try near the end as well. We hit post with a penalty in second half.

Bit annoyed – but fantastic effort and commitment from the lads, got clontarf home followed by away then home v terenure so really going to be very hard to get points from these

Both poor teams, weather might not have been the biggest factor.

Weather was by far the biggest factor and both sides can show a lot more. Theyre mid road 2A sides. Not that poor.

Went to Terenure vs UCD hoping to see the ball thrown around a bit but unfortunately the rain dampened that a bit. Narrow win for UCD probably a fair result, both sides were even enough i thought but UCD seemed to adapt to the conditions better. Jeremy Loughman got what can only be called an idiotic yellow card. Some pretty bad refereeing too which didn't help the game either.

They'd both be mid table in 2B as well if they were there. I'll give you they'd probably be near the top of 2C. Perspective I suppose

Wanderers, Navan and possibly Barnhall too in my opinion. None of whom have anywhere near the provinicial/academy players at their disposal that those 2 clubs have. But thats my opinion.

I dont think they would. And having academy players doesnt mean teams should be expected to be higher especially when taking about first year academy players as theyre only likely to be in first maybe second year playing adult rugby and this is division 2 rugby so neither club would have any senior provincial contracted players playing for them

Dowling was listed but pulled out during warm up. Lansdowne retained possession and played territory far better. Deasy and Lansdowne back 3 the difference. Couple of missed chances from Tarf proved costly. Best team on the day won. Very poor game largely due to the conditions.

Dowling pulled just before kick off. Lansdowne's 15 Eamonn Mills did very well as did Lansdowne 12 Mark O'Keeffe. Up front Clontarf 2nd row Daly was very lively, gets on the ball a lot whilst their back row put in a huge effort defensively. Jack Dwan had another very solid game for Lansdowne.

Daly a under-20.. is having a big season.. how tall would you say he is? 6'6?

I was very impressed by Shannon's McCarthy at the weekend. I didn't know he was in the Munster academy until I saw that post but he stood out. Not sure what happened with their full back during the game, but the scrum half finished the game playing at fifteen. A good player too. Just glad that Naas finally got a much-needed win..!

McCarthy, not in the academy anymore.. on a development deal, doesn't seem that highly rated within munster though.

Some really good games with Lansdowne Terenure, Dolphin Bohs, Corinthians Blackrock some of more important games
Only 3 teams yet to lose a game. Sligo and Crescent shouldn't have too much issue but Lansdowne against Terenure has potential to be fantastic game

It's basically a 7s central contract where he will be a squad player for Glasgow. Probably 5th or 6th choice back three player.

Think he's going to see a decent amount of gametime in February/March when the 6 Nations players are gone.

Cork Con v St Marys 3rd v 9th - Con to win well

Tense game and not a lot between both teams. Crucial moment at 60 mins when Dan McEvoy from Lansdowne scored to make it 18-8 in their favour whilst down to 13 men.

Thompson for Terenure impressed and thought their hooker and captain Smyth was very solid.
