Mountfield 1436M - How to fit cutter deck engage cable?

    The cable that engages the blades on my Mountfield 1436M ride-on mower just broke. I have ordered a replacement cable, but I'm unsure how to route the cable. I know where to fit both the ends, but I can't figure out where the cable goes through. Unfortunately the old one came out when it broke, so I didn't get a look. It's the 92 model with the manual blade engage lever (not with the button).
    Could anyone who has replaced one of these give me any tips?
