Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bought a 2012 Kangoo ZE second hand and I have a home changing cable that I bought separately and works fine.

The only cable that came with the van is this one :

whats the easiest / cheapest way to get this charging off the standard type 2 public ESB charge points ? Cheers!

I'm not sure what's going on here. The blue plug is a 16A single phase IEC 60309 connector - a standard mains plug for outdoor/industrial use (not specific to EVs). I would have thought normally to connect an EV to this you'll need a portable EVSE or "granny cable" (just like if you were connecting to a normal BS1363 13A socket), but they usually have some sort of box (controller/electronics) in-line with the cable and I don't see that here - unless that's all contained within the plug at the other end? Are there any other markings on that plug (Type 1 connector end), e.g. input voltage, current, etc.? Or maybe there's something different about the Kangoo where it can be plugged directly into a normal 16A mains socket?

For public charging, you can buy a Type 1 to Type 2 cable like this: http://www.evcables.co.uk/263/Type-1-Type-2-Charging-Cables
If the cable you already have is just a cable (no portable EVSE component), you can probably just buy a Type 2 male plug like this and rewire it manually: http://www.evcables.co.uk/114/Type-2-male-plug
