    :eek::pac:
Fact: Premier League heavyweight Liverpool want the Guinean national player absolutely.

The money sits loosely: just came Mohammed Salah (25) for 42 million from AS Roma.

For Keita, however, the bulls want BILD information almost double. RB's sports director Ralf Rangnick (58) is not expected to give the offensive star for less than 80 million euros. Does the Keita not for sale?

Advantage Leipzig : Here Keita can play Champions League, Liverpool must be in the league table of last season before the qualifying.

And while Emil Forsberg (who is, of course, also four years older) flirtatiously flipped with a change, Keita would like to stay with the Bulls for at least another year after BILD information.

Prior to a prolongation of the contract beyond 2020, however, he had last but graced himself.

Matic from Chelsea to Man Utd for 40 million pound is imminent. Have we reached peak "crazy money for a footballer"?

Well considering John Stones was 50m, probably not no.

Well considering John Stones was 50m, probably not no.

Not sure. 28 year old, defensive midfielder, tall but fairly limited ability and flexibility. I understand why Mourinho would want him but 40 million and 155,000 a week are sensational numbers.

Typical, was expecting you much before. Standards are slipping.

Stones for 50 Million was the time when crazy money for a "footballer" peaked. 35 Million pounds for a goal keeper means it was beyond that.

Not sure. 28 year old, defensive midfielder, tall but fairly limited ability and flexibility. I understand why Mourinho would want him but 40 million and 155,000 a week are sensational numbers.

    And then
So many players in this Chelsea side both capable and willing to nreak lines with their passing. Matic and Fabregas have played some stunning passes.
Easily some of the best football I've seen in the BPL this season displayed by Chelsea today, maybe even one of the best performances of any side I've seen in Europe this season. So complete, so dominant, so many aspects to our game that are clicking at the moment.

Defensively it's rock solid, Matic is surely the best in the world in his position, the back four work as a perfect cohesive unit in front of the always wonderful Thibaut Courtois. Then it's the front five that provide the magic, seeing Fabregas, Willian, Oscar, Hazard and Costa work together is beautiful, it's an incredible attacking force, a match for any team. All of this guided by arguably the best manager of his generation. Mourinho has assembled something very special here again.
Can't do anything but repeat what is being said, robbery is the best word for it. Still utterly ridiculous from Ivanovic when Di Maria is so obviously going nowhere.

However I'm going to stay positive. Before the weekend started if somebody had told me we would end the weekend with our lead over City extending by a point despite going to OT without our two best strikers I'd have been quite ecstatic. The development of the side continues, Matic is becoming such an integral part of these big games, Filipe Luis did well, Drogba was quite sublime at times as is Hazard, Courtois is, imo, the best goalkeeper on the planet at present. The manner of throwing away 3 points is frustrating but overall the actual results this weekend have been positive.

So he became from best in the world in his position to "fairly limited ability and flexibility"

You are the gift that keeps on giving.

Yes but United shouldn't be really buying Chelsea's offcasts, United should be buying Bakayoko.

Not saying Matic is a bad player he isn't.

Chelsea can buy Bakayoko without selling anyone. Not sure why this is repeated so many times even for Mbappe deal, as if Manutd is funding Madird.

Maybe Mourinho doesn't fancy Bakayoko, wants a more experienced head to balance midfield. £40m is a pretty good deal for an outcast!

Matic playing stunning passes was less than 6 months.

Not that anyone is surprised with your ever changing views whenever any player is linked with ManUtd.

In fairness, something in the last year or so would be more relevant. It'd be like going back and quoting some posts about Rooney 4 years ago, not exactly indicitiave of current form.

That said I think he'll work out well for United.

1 game where he plays stunning passes is not an overall assessment of the player. That shouldn't require explanation.

I don't rate Matic that highly, it's just that some poster posting rubbish with such consistency should be applauded.

Your complete U turn on player also don't need explanation.

Anyways if ManUtd don't sign Matic, it's obvious he will be again the player with "ability".

It's obvious how your views change once anyone is linked to ManUtd.

If these deals go through does that mean neither are signing Fabinho. I'd rather sign him than Bakayoko or Matic tbh.

Slim chance of it happening though, Monaco won't want to lose 2 starting CM's.

They've done it before in 2014 and still won the league.

Thought Matic had a fairly so-so season last season and was pretty bad the year before. That said, he may improve United a lot more than a lot of others. He won't be asked to do much more than sit in the pocket and provide a base. His above average passing means that he would be better than a lot of options in that position who could be signed. Will immediately get what Mourinho wants from him though that could go either way.

Not a fan of the short termism of it though if it allows Pogba the freedom he's lacked at times this season it could pay dividends.

They are in for Karsdorp as well.
Problem for them is that it isnt 2011 anymore and Feyenoord is healthy club now and no one is going for cheap anymore and so the asking price is €20 million.

    Done deal now.
Karsdorp to Roma for €17 million.
Not bad for a central midfielder who ended up as a right back by accident.

So that is Elia gone but he is replaced already with Boetius.
    And now Karsdorp.

10 Million Euros is the final fee. Thought he was sold for lot less, he was very good in Europa final, looked like a very good talent.

    Was a weird one that.
He was rubbish in the league, Ajax fans booing him regularly.
But at the same time he was one of their better players in Europe.

Never watched him play except in Europa finals (wanted to watch Ajax vs Lyon but that was at the same time as ManUtd' game), he looked very lively with good skill on the ball. For a young player he was very good.

few others also said what you said, that he wasn't as good in the league.

Looks like low risk signing for Lyon.

Chelsea are reported to have a few clauses in the contract, like a buy back fee and 15% of any future profit if hes sold on, drove down his final price considerably.

Not sure on the buy back, apparently it's prohibited in France. That's what I read when Depay was sold to Lyon.

Some places online have said theres one included and some have said otherwise.

Apparently, Ake will be sold to Bournemouth with a buy back clause inserted too, with Cahill and Luiz the wrong side of 30 and Conte seemingly chasing a CB, I wouldnt be surprised if a) he is sold and b) there is a clause in the deal.

Its a shame if true because I reckon hes good enough to start now for Chelsea.

That's ridiculous did he even miss a game through injury because of it. It looked a poor tackle but Jose went OTT on that to deflect from a poor result when the title race was heating up. There is no way that has had any impact on matic form since then. If he signs for utd I think it would be a good signing as he is an upgrade on what they have with carrick coming to the end.

So long as he is a squad signing and a fraction of the mooted £35m, then I'm ok with it.

I think matic is better than given credit for.
He has played a fairly big role in two title winning teams. Particularly in the first title he was a key player. As a specialist DM there isn't many better in the league. It all depends on where Jose wants to play pogba I guess.

His form dipped massively after that. May be just correlation rather than causation but he is way more hesitant going for the ball compared to how he used to be.
