    fundamentally no, but there is an allowance for exceptional needs.

    Are they saying not to take your break at all or are they changing the time etc.?

    There are statutory regulations on taking breaks. Nothing to stop you asking employees to work through breaks but you could find yourself up in the lrc even if they agree under what the feel is duress

    If we're very busy, there has been occasion where we asked a salesperson to work through lunches, but that they then take it later in the day.

    Flexibility is fine, provided you actually do give the breaks!
