Working in an ASTI school doing S&S but not in the Union

Hi, Does anyone know what the situation is for teachers doing S&S in an ASTI school but when they are not in the Union? Are we obliged to do it? The DP just gave me my slots and didnt ask any questions. And should I be paid for it?

Every teacher is obliged to do S&S unless they pay to opt out, being part of a union or otherwise is not an issue.
As you are in an ASTI school you will not be paid for it.
