What is zoned recreational

    Hi all I have seen some land for sale and it is zoned recreational would this mean it could be used as a glamping campsite with no amendment to planning ?

    It will depend on the council area you are in. All the council development plans have their own definitions of each zone and the "permissible uses" and "may be open to consideration" uses.

    Even though Glamping is probably fun, its probably more commercial than recreation, but again down to the council ( or bord pleanala if challenged). Change of zoning is very unlikely before the next development plan.

    Check the council's LAP and it will give you what exact uses come under recreational, can vary per council.
