    Johns island good
    Faiths island annoyed me
    Jacobs good

Anybody else find faiths region a bit crap compared to the other 2?

Be careful of shooting the bees nests though. I shot one when I was close to it and they stung the fella who was helping me to death. They were stinging me as I was trying to revive him too.

Nearing the end of it now, had a weirdness to it. Felt very different to Johns. Maybe how the terrain played out though and how I navigated it and I seemed to get way less side missions popping up, and the few that did were collectibles and the like.

I've not been up north yet and I have a feeling I should have went there first.

Finished Jacobs, into faith for the last region. Jacobs region was excellent, very handy if you have the free helicopter with the deluxe edition as there's a helipad copter shop beside the wolves den hq. I used Hurk much more than I thought. The mayhem is a great laugh and he is gas out. "I used to play RPG's, now I just shoot them".

got the fishing to do and the 4 planes one to do but the rest are all on the way to finishing the game.

Just finished the first Island now, loving the game so far far a few annoyances.

Animals take way too many bullets to die, finding it fairly hard to shoot out drivers of cars (bad shot?:PAC:), finding myself in the middle of nowhere without a car would be cool to be able to call one in. Would like a few more attachments for guns like grips etc to help with recoil.

Looking forward to starting the next island!

Don't even bother shooting the wildlife with less than a head shot from the .50 sniper rifle. Waste of bullets otherwise.

Can't go anywhere now without a million of the cultists coming at me and killing. It's not much fun now.

    What's the cults favourite band?
    The Cult.

    That's half the fun - There's a van of cultists, haven't used a Molotov in a while.

I actually don't mind the amount of enemies, come at me, peaches & grace and we'll **** you up. Taking outposts thins the enemy presence in an area too.

Faith and the bliss I could understand getting mugged and waking up in dream, John was most believable but just work up in Jacobs place after finishing a story mission for no apparent reason having being drugged unbeknown to myself.

Nearing the end of Jacobs island can someone tell me once you finish off Jacob is it straight into the last boss mission then or do you have to complete all the story missions that have the American flag on them in every island cause I have some left over that I'm not planning on doing like destroy all faiths boats and other boring stuff like collect animal skins for the doctor

Once the resistance level triggers 100% its boss fight time.

You could get the meter up without doing a single story mission, would take a while but definitely possible.

I didn't like the multiplayer at all but the single player missions are good enough once you filter out all the 50 zombies in fog maps.

    How Steam of them :pac:
Was hoping to play this over the weekend but my Deluxe Edition is still wrapped

    2 down 1 to go.
Have John & Faith dead, fair bit of clean up left to do in Faiths regiion. Faith's ending was fair ****, a bit like whack-a-mole

Was shooting at a helicopter, pilot jumped out while he was on fire. It was some sight :D

Passenger was left in the heli with no one to fly it and crashed seconds later.

Helping the scientist Parker, he said he is onto bigger adventures, you know, similar to what we have been doing but different enough to justify the cost. I bet he's the main character in the mars DLC :pac:

I'm still on my first island (John's) but I've come across what seems to be a bit of a glitch. I was trying to do all the side missions, clear posts, and find all the loot etc to build up my perks/weapons before going near the story missions but..
After I had done quite a few of the side quests, the Fall's End mission was complete without me doing anything? I could even fast travel there having never been to the place and all the people in the town were thanking me for helping them etc. I think it was after I had done the mission with the conspiracy theory guy and destroying the satellites on the tower. Is this normal or a glitch? Very annoying as I was under the impression I had to go there and clear/defend it and feel like I missed out.

Also this only happened once, but another more general glitch I found that isn't related to any specific mission is
when I was attempting to clear a post of cultists, I died and re-spawned in the middle of that post with all the cultists dead and all my allies moved in and having set up the shop, garage etc as if I'd cleared it.

Other than the above I'm enjoying it so far.

@Paladonia I had the exact same thing happen to me.
Seems the resistance meter markers trigger specific events that are impossible to avoid.
Annoyed the crap out of me so much that I restart the game from the beginning and made sure to hit Falls End before the first blip.

I'll be doing the same when I move into new areas of the map.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,841 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Yeah I've read that happened to a few people online who avoided the story missions, acts like the locals take care of it for you.

There's a side mission where you have to road kill deers I'm finding pretty much impossible. Think it's because I was trying it with a quad bike. First one ended up in the bottom of a lake, I then tried a Van (it's like the A-Team van and one of my favourite vehicles) somehow got this stuck on a cliff, hanging over the edge. Went back to the quad bike but after hammering the deer several times it just got up and ran off each time. I'm going to land a helicopter on one and see if that works.

I had thought that might be it but it seemed a little silly. Thanks for clearing it up anyway.

Faiths region was a total joke TBH, it was like they ran out of ideas. TBH, all the multiple captures lark was very annoying.

Has to be a jeep and there are more after that.

The best area for it is just south of FANG centre, wide open field kill all 3 or 4 there.

The next one then do it south of where you get the mission, also a big open field.

I killed 20 on a quad before i figured out it had to be a jeep.

Also killed one with a chopper and a plane.

I settled in Faiths region there after going north first as I thought thats where I was being sent too.

I've nearly her section done so I'll plow on, those "visions" that could be a bear, PEGI or Deer get rather annoying when the spawn on ya trying to scope out an outpost.

Couple of almost game breaking bugs for me. First one was right at the start so didnt mind too much having to restart.
Second one is the mission atonement. Everytime i die i respawn outside the church in a trucks turret. The npc spawns at the far end of town and takes her sweet time jogging down to me. Sonetimes she makes it but mostly not and i get a mission failed message.
