    Hi all,
Just wondering does anyone else have this problem... :(
The majority of the time it's my right eye that I get this with but occasionally the left one too.
It's the outer corner of my eye that seems to leak water and it seems to travel up onto my eyelid... it's such a pain in the ass as it makes my eye makeup totally disappear at the outer side of my eyelid, plus the constant dabbing with a tissue is a nuisance.
I replace my mascara every 6 weeks or so, and the same with eyeliner and I clean my brushes regularly too. Not using any different brands in any of my products either.
It doesn't happen daily but it's so annoying when it does.
    Thoughts? :)

I have the exact same issue! In my case its caused by dry eyes (it seems totally counterintuitive for dryness to cause your eye to run, but it can do) My optician has recommended eye drops for dryness to help keep them lubricated, though I am not very consistent in using them

(FYI, I dont really feel my eyes getting dry except when I wear contact lenses, so you might not necessarily know that you have an issue with dryness)

I get this too, ive been asked if im OK by random people because I look as if im crying with tears rolling down my face...it's just my leaky eyes lol. As previous poster said it could be caused by dry eyes or maybe an irritation? It usually happens to me if it's breezy outside which irritates my eyes.

I have this as well. Nice to see I'm not alone. It's my right eye only and it affects me exactly as you describe op. It's very annoying because I love make up but in less than half an hour the eye shadow on my right eye is messed up
    :(

My doctor sent me to a specialist and he said my eyes are very healthy and no issue with my tear ducts (they're not blocked, I don't have dry eye or anything). He noticed the little puff of air they blow in made it water, shining a light in it made it water etc. so seems to be just overly sensitive.

I've tried different eye primers and setting sprays to try to keep my shadow in place but no luck yet. Really hoping someone will come along now with a miracle solution!

Same here! I just put it down to sensitivity.

I was going to say the same, my eyes get too dry and then I get a delayed leaky eye reaction a few hours later, it's very annoying! I use eyedrops when I remember and it does help!

I could probably just about put up with it if the tears rolled DOWN, but no - they go upwards! Lol! :)

Glad I'm not alone in suffering from this. Interesting to hear that it may be dry eyes that causes it - that's mad!
For those of you that mentioned eye drops- is there any particular brand you'd recommend? Thanks for all the replies :)

This happened me for years until i met a great Optician who recommended Vidisic Eye Gel - its OTC and costs about €6.

Apparently leaky eyes are due to your eye being too dry so its over compensating by making lots of liquid. Vidisic changed my life!

any chemist will have it - just ask for it at the counter, you dont need a prescription for it.

I was getting my teeth cleaned last week. When the dentist removed the protective glasses at the end, she was hugely apologetic "Oh, you're crying, I must have really hurt you". In fact, it was the most painless cleaning I've had in years. She used a fair whack of anaesthetic at the start, and was careful when I signalled the few twinges at sensitive points. But regardless, there was a stream of tears coming from the eye that led her to believe that I was crying!

Just one type - its a small white tube. You put a dot of the gel on each eyeball each morning and off you go.
